The cans to keep desks together is a brilliant idea! In the past I have used zip ties which works well but then I was trimming the ends and putting a blob of hot glue on them to soften the sharp edges. I'll have to see if my bulky desk legs can fit in cans. I'm excited to see if they will!
Thanks for sharing your tips. I really like the whiteboard idea, I'm going to use it but I'm going to use black socks because they will not show the marker residue as the white socks will. Thanks again!
I'm a high school science teacher, and a lot of these would work for me, too! Thank you! I am will be looking for plastic plates ASAP for less-serious science experiment containment (for instance if all the reactants are food-safe.) Sometimes you can find black socks at the dollar store--I'm going to look for those so the kids stop using my tissues and paper towels!!!! (when we're able to use whiteboards and other shared supplies again.)
The cans for the chairs and the sock board. I have to fix my chairs every afternoon so I will def find a way to do this. For the sock boards I teach 1st grade and they are constantly losing their marker or fumbling all around their desk to find it b get one from me (which costs 1 class buck) and it wasn’t working. (They r supposed to put it in their crayon box but most wudnt) also they erased it w their hands lol 🤫 so love the idea
Please Please Please, At the 2 minute mark, where did you find that Blue Magnetic Marker holder? I have been going from store to store trying to find that very thing. Cannot find it on Amazon, target, Walmart etc..
I may not be a teacher but I am a student and I got all the annoying kids that never stop talking in my class so yea.... but I'll tell my teacher about this too help her
Please STOP photocopying construction paper, it will break the photocopier! I love most of your hacks but that one is going to ruin the photocopier. The construction paper is too fibrous and breaks apart in the machine. A photocopier technician told me this when he was explaining why school photocopiers breakdown frequently and this is a part of why. I liked your fold over laminating hack though! Great idea!
