I read the books this year for the first time this year and MAN. Umbridge is 10x more hateable in the books. They also did a disservice in explaining how badly being ostracized by everyone not believing him and being plagued by nightmares really affected Harry. @@GrandpaCurtisReacts Let's just say I audibly said "This fucking bitch right here" more than once. Every scene she was in just made my skin crawl. Another thing they didn't really tell or show was that Harry had "I must not tell lies" scarred into his hand until the end. It's a big reason why he didn't trust the Ministry of Magic to help him in the last 2-3 movies/books. They wanted him to say he fully supports the Ministry and he just shows the Minister the scar on his hand and explains that he's Dumbledore's man through and through.
A small clarification about Thestrals: seeing death is not enough to be able to see them, one has to understand what they see (technically, Harry saw the deaths of his parents, but he was a baby at that moment and didn't get it fully). And in the books, Neville is able to see them as well, because he saw the death of his grandfather
I love Voldemort's actor. He was in a psychological horror movie called The Menu. It's so unique. Also, nice shirt! I only recently got into My Hero Academia, but I'm freaking loving it!
Your puns are cracking me up lol! The building, Grimmauld Place, which is the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix is under a spell that places something/someplace as a secret - unperceivable to everyone - within a person. That person becomes what is known as the Secret Keeper. It is how the Potters tried to go into hiding when Voldemort got to them. The only reason Voldemort got to them, was that Peter Pettigrew was their Secret Keeper. Peter talked his friend circle (Lupus, Sirius and Lilly and James) into letting him be the secret keeper instead of Sirius because he rationalized it that Sirius would be the obvious choice for Secret Keeper and no one would suspect him. He was really in Lord Voldemort's pocket and as soon as the secret was entrusted to him, he went and told Voldemort. If the Secret Keeper shows someone, the enchantment is unveiled to them and say the potters hiding in a house was the secret - once unveiled, Voldemort could then see the house. So while Headquarters was always there - it wasn't until Moody gave the secret to Harry, that it was revealed to his eyes. Also whoever the secret is given to, in turn, becomes a Secret Keeper themself. That will be important to remember in a later movie. Also I saw another comment referencing what time period this is in - Harry was born at the end of July 1980, so he entered Hogwarts at 11 so it would have been 1991 for the first movie and this is number 5 so it would be placed in 1996 (Technically - Harry Potter, if he were real would only be 5 months older than me! lol). The "la la la he's not back" got me rolling! What is also not mentioned in the movies but is explained in the book is that Harry gave his Tri-Wizard Tournament winnings to Fred and George and they are using it to fund their own joke products. You're right, it's dark. Because It's not just seeing death, it's also understanding what that means. Harry had already seen his mother get killed but he was too young to understand what it meant. Then in last movie he saw Cedric die from the killing curse and THEN he can see the Thestrals. They did a really good job casting Umbridge, she is about as close as you can get image from the books. When she says to Dumbledore when he tells her that she doesn't have the power to banish his teachers from the grounds, she says 'For now' and the face she makes there is such a visceral feeling for me because she very much has that 'toadlike' expression that she's described as having in the books!

Imelda Staunton did a fantastic job playing a character who was more hated than the story's main villain. The fact that Umbridge was more hated than Voldemort himself makes the scene where she gets carried away like firewood by the centaurs that much more satisfying. He was only chosen as Minister after Dumbledore refused to take the job. That's why he's paranoid about what Dumbledore is up to as well. Go back and take a look at Ginny's face when Hermione says Cho couldn't take her eyes off Harry and when Harry stays behind with Cho in the Room of Requirement. 😉 There's a lot more to the James Potter/Snape story. Hammering home he was the only man Voldy feared. Of course not as grand as a stand off on screen. Resorting to taking possession of Harry was the only strategy Voldy had in his favor. Voldemort still not weak because he fought McGonagall, Flitwick and Kingsley at the same time before Dumbledore arrived. That would have looked awesome on screen.

'Remus' was the twin brother of Romulus, who founded the city of Rome (the name 'Rome' comes from 'Romulus); the origin myth is that Romulus and Remus were lost together as infants in the wilderness and suckled by a she-wolf. -Quirinus Quirrell: 'Quirinus' is the name of a Sabine god that predates the Roman Empire but survived into its early days. It was matched with Janus (whose name gives us 'January') and presented the same two-faced appearance, one face looking forward and the other looking behind. -Lily Potter: In Victorian Flower Language (a real thing), 'Lily' means 'purity, innocence', which sums up Harry's mother. -Petunia Dursley: In Victorian Flower Language, 'Petunia' means 'anger, resentment', which sums up Harry's aunt. I leave you to decipher other names, if you have interest.
For those who have never read the books, umbridge was also the one who sent the dementors after harry and dudley. She thought either the dementors who suck out his soul or he would defend himself and get expelled. Just another reason to hate her.
She doesn´t. She idolizes the power th position of Minister of Magic has, that´s all. She only likes herself (maybe that even uncertain, likely self-created superiority complex out of inferiority complex).
lol! @6:06, when you say "Nymphadora seems like a badass name", well-think of what you would feel if you knew your mummy basically named you "LOVE OF SEX"? ;)
Am I completely losing it, or have you reacted to these before under another channel name SpazBoys Comedy??? I remember commenting on those videos as well. Are these re-uploads?
After your reaction to The Room, you should put the movie Who Killed Captain Alex? in your watch-list. It is right up your alley and absolutely hysterical.
Quite a few people comment on this movie series not "dropping off" like "other sequels" (although you didn't use that expression to be fair). Thing is they are not sequels. JK Rowling had the entire story pretty much figured out when she started writing the books. This is not a case of trying to follow up a great success.
dudley is cruel, but i'm still confused why he made fun of harry's mom passing away like she wasn't his aunt. it just made him look even more not smart. it wasn't until harry showed ron's dad how to navigate around in the human world that i got an idea of what time era that these movies take place in. i couldn't tell if it was modern day, the 50's or even the 1800's. as cool as magic is i wonder if harry had a difficult time adjusting to live without modern technology at 1st. that writing spell umbridge uses on students is messed up, but it should be a thing in real life for internet trolls on social media. they'd feel pain with every keystroke, and they'd have whatever they typed show up on their skin so everybody in public can see it. lol
Well, Dudley never knew his aunt as he was just a baby when she died - and she was not exactly flavour of the month in the Dursley household anyway. Also, the quill Umbridge is so fond of punishing kids with does not need ink for a reason - it uses the writer's own blood, so a bit more than just pain.
the only character i anime i hate almost as much as umbridge is also from the natruto vrse that being chocho from boruto she has an amazing kind family yey act like a spolied brat that think she is the enter if the universe but then agin naruto verse has plenty annoying chatracters that people seem to love like sasuke, sakura and almst all cast of boruto

One of the things JK Rowling did writing this saga was to take great care in naming he characters.

For those who have never read the books, umbridge was also the one who sent the dementors after harry and dudley. She thought either the dementors who suck out his soul or he would defend himself and get expelled. Just another reason to hate her.
I’d heard that… Yea, she’s as hateable a character as I’ve seen!
First appearance of Luna Lovegood….i liked her right away. 14:58
You ar so hilarous I love watching your youtube channel
Thanks a lot, My Friend. I appreciate that! 😊
The fight between voldie and dumbledore was totally dumbledore's win, no doubt. In the movies they had to make it kinda even, i guess.
Not many people pick up on Umbridge having the hots for Fudge
She doesn´t. She idolizes the power th position of Minister of Magic has, that´s all. She only likes herself (maybe that even uncertain, likely self-created superiority complex out of inferiority complex).
lol! @6:06, when you say "Nymphadora seems like a badass name", well-think of what you would feel if you knew your mummy basically named you "LOVE OF SEX"? ;)
yea luna def my fav too, i think of her as whimsical lol
Love the shirt one of my favorite animes!
Am I completely losing it, or have you reacted to these before under another channel name SpazBoys Comedy??? I remember commenting on those videos as well. Are these re-uploads?
Yes, the idea is for this channel to eventually be where I post all the movie and TV show reactions.
Yay my favourite Harry Potter movie!!! 😊👍
This is the best one next to number 3
Becouse of the material not director or athmosphere
Curtis, I would tell you but I don't know if UA-cam will let me post it
No I'm not watching this video right now (staring intensively) 👀
dudley is cruel, but i'm still confused why he made fun of harry's mom passing away like she wasn't his aunt. it just made him look even more not smart.
it wasn't until harry showed ron's dad how to navigate around in the human world that i got an idea of what time era that these movies take place in. i couldn't tell if it was modern day, the 50's or even the 1800's. as cool as magic is i wonder if harry had a difficult time adjusting to live without modern technology at 1st.
that writing spell umbridge uses on students is messed up, but it should be a thing in real life for internet trolls on social media. they'd feel pain with every keystroke, and they'd have whatever they typed show up on their skin so everybody in public can see it. lol
I like the way you think! 😂
@@GrandpaCurtisReactsI too, like the way think lol - especially the trolls who are bigoted or the kind who tell people to off themselves!
Clannad 😊
Great, but brutal, show!
❤
Nice I Like This Movie
the only character i anime i hate almost as much as umbridge is also from the natruto vrse that being chocho from boruto she has an amazing kind family yey act like a spolied brat that think she is the enter if the universe but then agin naruto verse has plenty annoying chatracters that people seem to love like sasuke, sakura and almst all cast of boruto
