This is one of their greatest songs ever. Listening to this just takes me back to the days of video stores in the 80s. This is the definitive synthwave style pop song from a mature band.

+Robyn agreed. It was painfully obvious on the tour that Charlie wasn't into the old stuff and James and Matt weren't into this album as much. Just a few years ago, the two of them put out the McBusted album which had a sound almost identical to old Busted, Son of Dork, Matt's solo stuff and more... they didn't progress to this, I think it was more a desperation to keep going and it was the only way to get Charlie on board again.
I don't agree, James has been making more electronic based music for years and Busted got back together because James brought some of these new songs to Charlie to hear. McBusted sounded like the most immature aspects of old Busted because it was entirely about Busted nostalgia, there was no need to progress as actual musicians but now Busted is a real band again, they don't just want to make the same kind of music they made 12 years ago, why would they? They all seemed very much into the new stuff when I saw them.
The guys have had to adapt to the current situation of pop music. Personally, I am very happy with their interpretation of the 'new' sound which actually just borrows heavily from the 1980s. And that's a good thing. I'd like more of this!

I still have their first album and I treasure it with love, because it reminds me of a younger me, frozen in time. All those memories popping into my head when I play it. I was a Busted fan back then. And I grew up, they too. They came back as Busted again. Different-awesome- sound? but Busted anyway. Because Matt, Charlie and James are Busted. Time changes everyone. If you don't know that, it's because you're too young.

Saw Busted recently at Leeds O2 Academy. They were fantastic. They deserve to make what ever kind of music they want. Of course us old (35 year old!) fans enjoy a sing along to there classic tunes songs but I personally love there new stuff. Night Driver is a 'grower' and New York is brilliant. Long live Busted! x♡x

I personally think this should be the single instead of Thinking Of You, this song is just more upbeat and catchy! It sounds like a mega hit!

Bring on the next Album, Night Driver is more grown up, good easy listening music. Take my hat off to them for going for a different sound to that of 12 years go, old stuff still good up beat music but that was the past look forward never back. Lets just hope they carry on and make more music.

I think people can't complain when others say they miss the old Busted, it would be weird if no one reacted to this new sound, as it's such a contrast from how the boys made their name, at the end of the day everyone is entitled to their opinion

Jess I love their old music and always will but I genuinely enjoy this album too. They are grown men now, I knew they weren't going to come back with the same teen pop punk/rock music of the noughties. This music is a lot more mature but it's still good pop music.

Gareth Morgan old stuff was good tho! Old fans are going to appreciate it more as it's why we fell in love with them originally. However I do really like a few off the new album. Easy by far the best but it wasn't on there setlist for there tour😩
Robyn Johnson I love their old stuff but it's been played to death. Time to put it away and move on. Maybe a nostalgic listen every few years or so but this album is superb. I can really see them developing as artists. Fans of their old stuff should just stop going on about it or find a page where they can grieve together. THIS is Busted now.

Quite surprised at Busted's shift in music and definitely hooked. And it's great to see Simpson taking charge and leading the band in such a stylistic direction. Folk, post-hard core, punk and now synthpop with 80s throwbacks. This guy's great!

does anyone else notice that Matt and James are mainly vocals to Charlie in this song and most of the album
James was always the main songwriter in the group and accepted he wasn't the strongest singer- which is fair enough.
I think Charlie is probably the strongest vocalist of the group, though I have caught myself wondering if maybe he agreed to come back only if he got the most vocal parts in the songs.. Don't get me wrong, I like him best, but yeah it does seem like he is singing most parts and Matt and James are like sidekicks of his
Matt said in a interview that he's always seen Charlie as their frontman, despite the fact all three of them sing. He also said that he and James really pushed and wanted him to be more of a frontman for the Night Driver album, hence why Charlie sings lead on most songs.

I think their new stuff eclipses the old, they could have gone back to their own sound....but they are older and it's testament to them as musicians that wanted to broaden their sound

Honestly, when I heard Busted was getting back together I was beyond excited! Then to hear this... blew my expectations away!!! Completely different but fantastic in every way! Love it!!!!!!!
