I'm really starting to like this more than when it came out and i was ONLY into punk and nothing else, my music tastes and have grown a lot, i still love punk and rock but i also love pop and more slower music now.
I love how versatile they’ve become. It’s not all boy band punk. It’s indie, it’s pop rock, it’s heavy with solos and Charlie’s occasional scream. Busted have grown and it’s great to see 😊
cant believe they are back!! this is soo different from their older stuff but i kinda expected it lol.. since pop rock is no longer popular like it used to be when busted first started, it kinda makes sense for them to follow the trend.
I loved them when i was younger not anymore but still its good to know that they are back. i feel like charlie is always struggling to find the right genre for himself..he does many music projects including busted but each of them sounds very different. These days many musicians and bands always change their sound so i dont really blame busted or charlie
pop rock or emo rock used to be popular back in the days but it's not anymore. except for globally popular bands like greenday, every pop rock bands are changing. i don't wanna blame them, they gotta follow the trend if they don't want to be left behind. Even the whole rock community hates pop rock. so as for now, staying as pop punk band has absolutely no advantage. they can't attract both of mainstream pop music fans and rock music fans.i think it's very reasonable for busted to go through changes. And..... they've been splited for years!!how can you expect them to stay same....especially when charlie left busted bc he didn't like to do the pop rock?
PEOPLE, stop saying this isn't Busted. Yes it is. Matt, James and Charlie. All members of Busted are present. THIS IS BUSTED. They don't have the same sound as they did in 2004, so what?! They're back together. That's all that matters.
People saying "its not traditional old busted" lmao they havent made music for over 10 years and have grown up a lot since then, do you expect them to whip out another 'what i go to school for' type of song? Pop music has evolved since those days and so have they, so quit whining and appreciate this MASSIVE TUNE.
I am normally used to Charlie's voice suiting to heavy rock/acoustic music BUT I am damn right impressed! I was a BIG fan of the old Busted but THIS IS AWESOME! Charlie is great on his own BUT also with Busted too! I LOVE this new sound and I am already hyped for the new album!!
I wish it would too, but I wouldn't count on it. Seeing as Charlie left in the first place because he didn't like the type of music they were making, and didn't want to join McBusted, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have agreed to the reunion if they wanted to make more pop-punk stuff. I could be wrong, though.
It's funky. Their development over the last 10 or so years as a band is impressive. Charlie is also an incredibly talented and varied musician to be able to flip between genres as he has. Good on them.
Love the new sound! People need to realise they've come back in a new day and era - it's a new sound and their embracing it ! They're definitely going to make top charts with this song!!!
Why are people slating this because it's not how they WANT it to sound. Yeah it's different to their old stuff.. 10 YEARS AGO... But it's such a tune! Reminds me of the same vibe as the 1975 "the sound" :)
Only its better cause The 1975 just can't write such infectious hooks, The 1975 think their Radiohead or something with all that arty bullshit but their not cause Radiohead have a million times more talent then them, the most pointless guitar band in history. As much as I didn't mind the 80's sounding vibes on Night Driver I for one am so glad Busted have returned to their Pop-Punk routes only difference being this time they actually Rock more then before! 🤘🎸🥁
I actually love the new sound, great direction to be going in. and the best part is when I want to listen to the "old" Busted, I can go back and listen to those old songs which still sound the same don't forget people.
Appreciate the change. As long as Charlie, James and Matt are all happy making music that have them on creative common ground then I respect that. It's still unreal how we have Busted back! love the song, can't wait until Night Driver now! :-D
So many empty years that could have gradually progressed to this but honestly, I'm just grateful they're finally back. It's not the same as their old stuff but things change and it's just brilliant to see them back as a team again. Thanks guys, my childhood me was gutted to hear you'd broken up but grown up me is more than proud and happy that you guys have returned.
I'm liking the new Busted. If they did the same type of music they would have the same audience, having a modern take brings in a new audience and then they can appreciate what Busted can really do. Looking forward for more.
Holy shit I was expecting teeny songs but this is kickass 👌👌👌 I guess they've gotta tailor to older audiences since their fans have pretty much grown up now
It's natural that musicians want to experiment with new genres, especially when they've been working with music for so long. As long as they're happy, I'm happy too! I'm just glad they're back
Wanna be on what you're on Wanna be on what you're on Wanna be on what you're on She's got a wild heart Born to run, born to come and just save my soul I never thought it was worth saving She stepped into something and I wish I could feel it But I don't know what it is and I can't quite believe it Always listen, always listen, always listen to the same song I wanna know, I wanna know, wanna know what you're on I wanna be on what you're on I wanna be gone like you're gone I wanna be on what you're on I wanna listen, wanna listen, wanna listen to the same song Wanna be on what you're on Wanna be on what you're on Wanna be on what you're on She has a kind heart Kind enough to take the time to come save my soul I'm so over misbehaving She's optimistic 'bout the future of her planet And the smile that's on her lips, oh, it must be the Xanax Always listen, always listen, always listen to the same song I wanna know, I wanna know, wanna know what you're on I wanna be on what you're on I wanna be gone like you're gone I wanna be on what you're on I wanna listen, wanna listen, wanna listen to the same song Wanna be on what you're on Wanna be on what you're on Wanna be on what you're on Yeah, we're standin' on the same cloud And we're never comin' down Yeah, we're standin' on the same cloud No, we're never, no we're never, ever comin' down I wanna be on what you're on I wanna be gone like you're gone I wanna be on what you're on I wanna listen, wanna listen, wanna listen to the same song Wanna be on what you're on Wanna be on what you're on Wanna be on what you're on
I don't think people appreciate how good this song actually is. This is Busted, I'm sick of people seeing musicians as just people who have to write songs to please people. They are people, people change, therefore musicians change and so does their music. You wouldn't expect a person to do what they want just to please you so why should you expect a musician to.
after seeing some of their older interviews and then the ones about the new music, you know they are doing what they want to do and loving it now - if they were to do what they did before, they wouldn't be back together. I love old busted and I Love new busted, embrace the change or just don't listen to it. like any normal person in a job, you wouldn't want to do something you didn't enjoy, and what's wrong with wanting to earn some extra dollar for their families if they are enjoying it! not sell outs and not a mistake. if you listen to stuff that charlie and James have done after busted it totally makes sense that this is the direction they would go in. I'M HAPPY YOU'RE BACK AND DIGGING THE TUNES can't wait for the new album guys, you should be proud ♡
I'm honestly so happy that their new music is more modern and not the same teen pop it was back in the day (even though I loved it). They've grown up and so has their music 😁
How were they manufactured? They formed on their own terms as James and Matt were friends and Charlie auditioned. They chose their own record label (Island Records) and snubbed others (ie Syco Records). They also recorded and wrote their own music. So how were they ever 'manufactured'?
Busted where a huge part of my childhood. This new stuff is so different, and even though I love A Present For Everyone, I really like the new stuff too. :)
To those who are disappointed with this song, I'll admit I'm not into it myself and that it's not what you'd expect Busted to sound like. But people, do you even remember why Charlie left Busted in 2005? He wasn't happy with the band not going in any new creative direction. And Charlie showed for the next decade just how musically versatile he really was through his years with Fightstar and his softer styles with his two solo albums. The old songs of Busted had pretty much the same feel and theme to them all, though it was good for them because of their youth and where they were in life. And it's still great to listen back to it all. But they're in their 30s now, and the Night Driver album will reflect how they've grown up into something different. You also have to remember that Busted's old pop punk sound isn't popular like it used to be, otherwise Busted wouldn't have gone for it in the first place. If they want to soften their sound to appeal to today's mainstream music audiences, that's their business and not our place to judge them. Just be glad they're back at all. At least they'll continue to play the old songs for nostalgia's sake.
***** You're right there - we don't know if popularity had anything to do with this new musical direction Busted have gone in (maybe I should've worded myself differently). It is a possibility, though. But whatever the case is, my point is that there's no wrong in what decision Busted make as it's their lives, their music and their careers.
Listened to some Busted songs when I was 10. Followed Charlie on to Fightstar which is absolutely mind blowing stuff, some of the best riffs in a rock/metal band I've ever heard. Followed Charlie back to Busted cos he's such a great musician and he and james and matt have nailed it. This is a damn funky song that makes you want to tap your foot. Can't wait to see them live again.
You people saying shit about this, it's passed the time you realized its been 12 fucking years, people grow and change and they should always stay TRUE to their music! and if this music is what they're feeling now, they should keep doing this! They aren't the same boys from back then (and truly neither are we). I love and support your new music, Busted! ♥
this comment aged well.... Halfway There proves you wrong. Also look at the way Charlie is playing his guitar in the chorus of this video and hear that there is no such guitar in the actual song. He's dying to thrash that tune out!
@@RhuDrummer I love Half Way There but it's nostalgic fluff and a lot easier than Night Driver. Night Driver had balls and was a brave step in a new direction. Half Way There was just there to appease all the people whining about Night Driver. What Happened To Your Band is one of the best songs ever written though.
I love it! I loved their old songs because I was into pop rock at the time, but now I'm into all different kinds of music and I love this. As the time passes, taste changes. It's part of growing. It's a shame when people can't handle that.
Usually when a band comes back and changes style, they usually do it all wrong and people hate it... but this is just incredible. I loved Busted as a kid but it's great how they've adapted to 2016. It's very Daft Punk which is always good and that Kenny G style sax solo had me vibing. 10/10 track. I hope theres more personally
Well, I don't personally like this particular song but it's just this song. There's always at least one song on an album that you don't like, so I'm not too upset. Keep them coming lads, it's great to see you back again.
Dude these guys are way more talented than they've been given credit for. All 3 of them are seriously underrated musicians, especially charlie, loved 3 of his fightstar songs too and theses groovy songs are epic.
welcome back Charlie, Matt and James!! I missed you. Busted has a big influence on my musical style and songwriting ever since What I Go to School For. So glad that a hero is back!
Loving the new style. Not only have Busted grown up, but the fans have too. Not going to be to everyone's taste but damn I'm really enjoying it. There's nothing wrong with taking a risk and trying something new. Will probably be dancing to this on repeat for a couple of weeks.
The thing is, if this was by anyone other than Busted people would probably love it. Just because it's not the sound people expected from Busted, they're hating on it. The song itself isn't actually that bad. I love Busted's old music and always will but I appreciate that they're not in their early 20s anymore - they've grown up as musicians and want to make music that will appeal to all sorts of people, not just teenagers like their old music did. Yes, McBusted's album was more like their old music but I think everyone could tell that McBusted was all about the nostalgia so that was expected (not that that was bad, I loved the McBusted album). But this is Busted 2.0. If they are to be taken seriously and actually chart again, they need to make music that people listen to in 2016, not just repeat everything from 2002.
I'm obsessed with this song, was so hoping they would perform it on X Factor but it was still an amazing blast from the past hearing Year 3000! Love you guys.
I cannot believe I am just finding out about this album. Its flawless and amazing. Daft Punk vibes and awesome vocals. I would love it Busted would return to this sound for a future album.
Some people saying this change was a mistake/they should stick to pop-punk... these ppl obviously only listen to that one genre. IMO the best band's are the ones who have something for everyone genre-wise. The old pop-punk songs are still there to listen to. Why would they repeat the same stuff years later... zzz
as much as I like their old songs, I wouldn't necissarilly call them pop-punk as a whole, more pop-rock with one or two more pop-punk oriented songs, and I love how they are exploring more jazz/soul influences on this song and Britpop (bands like Blur, Pulp and Oasis) in Coming Home which is my favorite song to come out of this year and I got a very strong Pulp inspired vibe from that song
I don't think their old stuff was punk either but it gets labelled as pop-punk by a lot of fans. The same as people labelling Jimmy Eat World emo when emo means something completely different lol. I really enjoyed Coming Home but being a huge funk fan was so excited to hear this one. Heard live versions of Easy and One of A Kind and they're both pretty different. Something for everyone almost which is awesome.
I definitely agree with this, especially when you consider the fact that Charlie left in the first place because he didn't like the style of music they were doing before.
keeping up with the times you know, theyre in their 30s now and music's changed a shit ton since they broke up, love the fact they're back together, but we gotta be fair to them that if they brought out the kind of stuff they brought out back in the day it wouldn't go anywhere, the fact that they're back together making music that's popular in this day and age is a massive MASSIVE deal and they need respect for that
If The Weeknd sang this song everyone would say its amazing. I'm loving this.
Yeah, it's even got allusions to drugs and everything.
i thought it was weeknd similar thumbnail
The Weeknd is a pudgy no-talent dick head. I love this. It's had zero exposure tho.
Am Cha I mean if weekend sings it people love it. but it's just the general attitude of Busted fans when James does synth. look at Futureboy.
Am Cha it's so true it get zero airplay and the weekends song starboy (shitty btw) gets played constantly.!!!! well out of order.
Super proud of this one. This will sound good in 10 - 30 years
I'm really starting to like this more than when it came out and i was ONLY into punk and nothing else, my music tastes and have grown a lot, i still love punk and rock but i also love pop and more slower music now.
It’s true
I personally love both the old and new styles however I must admit 'Sleeping With The Light On' will always be my favorite❤
5SecondsofDougie I have to say "over now" is my fave - but I don't hate their new stuff.. I just have a passion for the oldies 💕
kriistiee "over now" is my favorite too, but unfortunately they never play it live 😭😭😭
Air Hostess my friend
loner in love is a good one also
Was literally just thinking this ❤😂
omg Charlie that voice brings back too much memories
Yes!!
Love his voice
I love how versatile they’ve become. It’s not all boy band punk. It’s indie, it’s pop rock, it’s heavy with solos and Charlie’s occasional scream. Busted have grown and it’s great to see 😊
Charlie’s voice is smoother than melted butter ooof

Bumble Doctor
Ohhh Busted! How I've missed you!! LOVED THIS! cheers from brazil, please come over here some time soon ♥
so surprised how they ended up sounding... and Thats a postive thing.
this song has a really strong jazz or soul vibe to it
on a second listen it sounds pretty disco oriented aswell
Is it just me or James doesn't sound ATALL like James used to, like even in mcbusted, it could be a different person
Nah, to me he still sounds the same
+Drew McMillan James sounds the same too me . Matt sounds different though
I nearly cried when I heard this for the first time. I'm so happy they're back, but I HAVE NOBODY TO FANGIRL WITH
fangirl with me 😄
im here!! :)
CrescendNO hey. Fellow Busted enthusiast here :)
CrescendNO w
I got u
cant believe they are back!! this is soo different from their older stuff but i kinda expected it lol.. since pop rock is no longer popular like it used to be when busted first started, it kinda makes sense for them to follow the trend.
Another shit group jumping on a bandwagon. Desperate.

lol don't listen to it then it's that simple.!!!
Charlie's capabilities from fight star to this and back is insane 😂
Team PYRITE Bravo to Charlie. To me, he's the real musician out of the three. Not saying the other two are bad though.
Jehu Calderon Charlie is insane, how he can go from a metalcore style to this is mad
Team PYRITE love of the music, man. I'm happy that they're making music that they love and it's lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Busted to Fight Star to Charlie Simpson to Busted (present) have different genres. charlie is so diverse and can fit well to any of those genres
Don't forget Once Upon A Dead Man! And he did lend his vocals in a Gunship song or two :) Amazing!
PEOPLE, stop saying this isn't Busted. Yes it is. Matt, James and Charlie. All members of Busted are present. THIS IS BUSTED. They don't have the same sound as they did in 2004, so what?! They're back together. That's all that matters.

I could be wrong, though.
David Gillam they won't...I asked Matt on Twitter and he said no 😕
huntercrunch you're right and in fact, they won't have any pop punk songs in the album
RoomOnThe3rdFloor Music that sounds like a lyric for a Busted song...
🎤 I asked you if you have some punk songs, but you said no..
Jehu Calderon Ahaha Yeah, I've thought the same 😂
It's funky. Their development over the last 10 or so years as a band is impressive. Charlie is also an incredibly talented and varied musician to be able to flip between genres as he has. Good on them.
This is nothing like I expected from Busted but I really love it.
Love the new sound! People need to realise they've come back in a new day and era - it's a new sound and their embracing it ! They're definitely going to make top charts with this song!!!
I'm happy to hear a new Daft Punk song..really
yes!! to all people who says this is trend this is not. It reminds to 80's and 90's music totally funk vibe
+day pc this is so true!!! My mum said she thought this would have been around in 80s when she was younger!
dpoynter fletcher they're taking inspiration from the best
man, i was about to write...
TOTALY DAFT PUNKED
Bring this style back! Night driver is the best album of modern Busted.
Groovy.
This is such an underrated gem
THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY I CAN NOT DESCRIBE
This is so underrated. This song deserves to be up there. Addictive.
Im liking this grown up sound! Its totally different from the busted we all knew but that was 10+ years ago, i think this song will grow on people!
This is Busted! And who cares! This song is funky as hell! Love it ;)
Why are people slating this because it's not how they WANT it to sound. Yeah it's different to their old stuff.. 10 YEARS AGO... But it's such a tune! Reminds me of the same vibe as the 1975 "the sound" :)

I will admit when I first heard this song I thought it was a different band 😂
If an American artist released this. It would have been a worldwide hit.
I actually love the new sound, great direction to be going in.
and the best part is when I want to listen to the "old" Busted, I can go back and listen to those old songs which still sound the same don't forget people.
Fantastic song, now excuse me while is smash the replay button and grab some popcorn as I read the comments.
SAME LMAO
Tates & Lami Fr fr!!😂😂👌
Appreciate the change. As long as Charlie, James and Matt are all happy making music that have them on creative common ground then I respect that. It's still unreal how we have Busted back! love the song, can't wait until Night Driver now! :-D

Charlie's voice gives me goosebumps... in a gooood way
might be their best song....absolutely love it
This just gets better the more I listen to it.

The boys are back, and better than ever!!
This is a very pleasant surprise. Good luck to them.
Wanna be on what you're on
Wanna be on what you're on
Wanna be on what you're on
She's got a wild heart
Born to run, born to come and just save my soul
I never thought it was worth saving
She stepped into something and I wish I could feel it
But I don't know what it is and I can't quite believe it
Always listen, always listen, always listen to the same song
I wanna know, I wanna know, wanna know what you're on
I wanna be on what you're on
I wanna be gone like you're gone
I wanna be on what you're on
I wanna listen, wanna listen, wanna listen to the same song
Wanna be on what you're on
Wanna be on what you're on
Wanna be on what you're on
She has a kind heart
Kind enough to take the time to come save my soul
I'm so over misbehaving
She's optimistic 'bout the future of her planet
And the smile that's on her lips, oh, it must be the Xanax
Always listen, always listen, always listen to the same song
I wanna know, I wanna know, wanna know what you're on
I wanna be on what you're on
I wanna be gone like you're gone
I wanna be on what you're on
I wanna listen, wanna listen, wanna listen to the same song
Wanna be on what you're on
Wanna be on what you're on
Wanna be on what you're on
Yeah, we're standin' on the same cloud
And we're never comin' down
Yeah, we're standin' on the same cloud
No, we're never, no we're never, ever comin' down
I wanna be on what you're on
I wanna be gone like you're gone
I wanna be on what you're on
I wanna listen, wanna listen, wanna listen to the same song
Wanna be on what you're on
Wanna be on what you're on
Wanna be on what you're on
Yes! Reinvented Busted! Love the new and love the old, we grew up together and that makes me so happy! Such a good track!
Here in 2024 thinking this is better than any music released these days
I don't think people appreciate how good this song actually is. This is Busted, I'm sick of people seeing musicians as just people who have to write songs to please people. They are people, people change, therefore musicians change and so does their music. You wouldn't expect a person to do what they want just to please you so why should you expect a musician to.
I have listened to this song for about a million times! You just earned a new subscriber!

"And the smile that's on her lips, oh, it must be the Xanax" what a fantastic lyric
A step in the right direction for a once manufactured band, authentic real and honest mature music I love it.
How were they manufactured? They formed on their own terms as James and Matt were friends and Charlie auditioned. They chose their own record label (Island Records) and snubbed others (ie Syco Records). They also recorded and wrote their own music.
So how were they ever 'manufactured'?
they weren't ever manufactured though lol
Busted where a huge part of my childhood. This new stuff is so different, and even though I love A Present For Everyone, I really like the new stuff too. :)
So different but still love Busted. Hope they'll have some old style songs on their new album. Greetings from Greece
AMAZEBALLS! I have listened to this at least fifteen times and I'm not tired of it! Can't wait for the album!
Amazing!!!! Absolutely love it!!
Busted! Busted! So happy that you are back. Come to Brazil soon!
To those who are disappointed with this song, I'll admit I'm not into it myself and that it's not what you'd expect Busted to sound like.
Ryan O'Donovan yass that's correct
***** You're right there - we don't know if popularity had anything to do with this new musical direction Busted have gone in (maybe I should've worded myself differently). It is a possibility, though. But whatever the case is, my point is that there's no wrong in what decision Busted make as it's their lives, their music and their careers.
I didnt actually expect it to be this good. Biggest musical impact on me in years
This is a banger. Appreciate this track, stop living in the past
way out of the comfort zone for busted , but , unlike many others who have tried , it actually works :)
I was never a Busted fan in the old days but this sounds amazing.
New tunes and new sounds! I like it! I'm with busted all the way!
Reminds me of Maroon 5 a little. Excited though.
yea it quite sounds like Moves like Jagger
...more like Daft Punk if you ask me, can't stand Maroon 5.
I'm addicted to this album. Sooooooo pleased I gave it a go!!! Night Driver is just on freakin' repeat all day errr day!!
I love it they still got it :)
I guess we will never know what happened to Ms. McKenzie...
+Georgina Hichens lol that cannot be the ending! we need more!
You're being annoying. Shush.
oh fuck, youtube ceo, im so sorry you get annoyed by some comments and you demand them to shut up...
Actually I said, "Shush", but if you want to go ahead and shut the fuck up I'll appreciate that as well. Thank you, have a nice day.
Zachary Meekins lol what are you on buddy?
Cheers form Portugal
This is one of my favourite songs from Busted
Well, I don't personally like this particular song but it's just this song. There's always at least one song on an album that you don't like, so I'm not too upset. Keep them coming lads, it's great to see you back again.
You are beautiful 😍
Dude these guys are way more talented than they've been given credit for. All 3 of them are seriously underrated musicians, especially charlie, loved 3 of his fightstar songs too and theses groovy songs are epic.
I actually loved this! So many daft punk vibes
welcome back Charlie, Matt and James!! I missed you. Busted has a big influence on my musical style and songwriting ever since What I Go to School For. So glad that a hero is back!
The lads definitely a good few listens to Random Access Memories anyway...
(I like this though, choon)
Yeah it rides off the popularity of RAM without a doubt, but it weirdly doesn't feel like it's ripping it off. Sounds superb

Well if your going to do music you learn from the best in the world

I CANT BELEVE THERE BACK TOGETHER EEEEEEEK SO AMAZINGGG
Wow.. That's different, but AMAZINGLY DIFFERENT
It's fun watching Busted grown up, when many of their fans clearly havent done any growing up by the way they're responding to this
This song has like a DNCE vibe
yesss!!!!
becca brown the 1975, Maroon 5, DNCE and daft punk.
It kinda sounds dated to be honest - its good but still
It´s funny because The Jonas Brothers started doing cover´s of Busted.
I haven't listened to Busted since 2003... I AM SHOOK... This is SO GOOD!!!! They are still putting out bangers!!!
this doesn't sound like busted but it is busted.love this anyway
I was such a hardcore Busted fan 10 years ago, and I'm so happy that they changed. Normal people change in 10 years time.
WAIT BUSTED ARE BACK. What has it been ..like 10 years?
i wouldn't say it's been that long since they've come back but it has been a while.
they broke up in like 2005
It's actually been 12 years.
I love the new song!
Just let it go lads. You will never be relevent again.
for that comment you deserve to be final flashed
Says the guy with a Goku profile pic.
I like it. Modern sound with little hints of original busted sound. Especially with piano.
I don't want any hate but I love this song
I'm obsessed with this song, was so hoping they would perform it on X Factor but it was still an amazing blast from the past hearing Year 3000! Love you guys.
Sophie I know I thought the same!
I'm not the biggest fan of this this to be honest, but nevertheless I'm happy to see them back and making music together.

I second this aswell this a great song
keeping up with the times you know, theyre in their 30s now and music's changed a shit ton since they broke up, love the fact they're back together, but we gotta be fair to them that if they brought out the kind of stuff they brought out back in the day it wouldn't go anywhere, the fact that they're back together making music that's popular in this day and age is a massive MASSIVE deal and they need respect for that
