The underground music from SMB3 makes all the underground levels 10 times better haha. Also, the SNES SMB1 castle music and backgrounds for the ghost houses is a stroke of genius. Always felt like the SNES SMB1 castle music was more appropriate for that kind of environment as it didn’t have the frantic urgency of the NES SMB1 castle music

I was happy to find it in Zophar's Domain.

I loved the SMB3 Bowser Music for the battle with Bowser at the end, and then you ruined it with the SMB1 Bowser music from Mario All Stars, instead of his battle theme from Mario RPG, which is actually his theme from Mario 3 for the SNES hardware.
I like how this player is keeping the whole Mario Bros 3 vibe going by not getting Yoshi in this play through, I also like how they use normal NES game music in a Super NES game. Also notice how the invincibility stars power lasts longer in this game then in MB3? Another thing I've noticed, the yellow switch palace doesn't crumble like the others do in this game, maybe so you can keep going to get the coins for lives? The only thing I don't like is when Mario is invincible they took away his flipping motion, I liked that about that game. 😒

Honestly, I believe the Athletic theme worked pretty well for the levels it was in.

Why does Valley of Bowser have an ice theme with the World 6 SMB3 music instead of a hellish theme with the "Dark Land" music playing?

Michirin9801 it has some smb3 elements, like the damage system and leaf requiring multiple button presses for gliding and flying.
I came here looking for the exact opposite, SMB3 levels and gameplay with SMW graphics, music and SFX.
