Democracy will not work in Russia, Russia is a huge country with a lot of different ethinic groups. In Democracy, people can choose what they want, and probably a lot of republics inside Russia, would fight for independence, whe saw what democracy with Russia was in 1992-2000, and it failed.

It's because Russians has never gave them a reason to stay in it's fold. If Russia doesn't want people to declare independence from Moscow, and, as it often goes, move towards the US-led free world, it needs to understand why people are declaring independence. It's not just because of ethnic reasons, it's because Moscow mistreats non-Russians severely. If Moscow allowed every oblast and every administrative district to practice their culture, enjoy economic wealth and freedom, and enjoy freedom from persecution and want, they wouldn't declare independence. I can't think of a single non-Russian group in all of Eastern Europe or Eurasia that wasn't oppressed in some way throughout history, and I don't think those people forget it either. If Russia wants it's diverse people to stay in the fold, give those people a reason to. Improve their infrastructure, allow their local government more power, respect their culture, provide opportunities. Hell, Russians are now leaving Russia because Moscow isn't even giving them opportunities and resources. Obliterating Grozny, deporting people Tartars, killing Poles in Katyn, putting people in camps, and establishing puppets like Kadyrov are how you create independence movements.
