I’m currently doing a program where we are in the class and create lessons and instruction for students below the average proficiencies. It’s like being the main teacher but without full group instruction (minus my brain break time)…. Watching your channel has been such a comfort to me! I can relate to so much of your experience and I really love the way you navigate everything! I look forward to all of your weekly vlogs and really appreciate your content ❤️

I change it up a lot depending on the unit or lesson! Sometimes its all whole group, partners or whole group then independent. I def always start whole group and move into the work depending on what students need. Since Mayas are text heavy partner work is best and keeps them engaged.
Hi! I'm a teacher as well. Do you have block scheduling or period scheduling? For most of my career, I always had 90 minute block classes and now I currently have 45 minute period classes and I'm finding it difficult to cover everything, find time for activities I've always done, books I've always read with classes, etc.
I have about 90 min for ELA and math! I have to adjust lessons all the time to what will be most efficient during those times. But I can def see where 45 min would be very quick and hard to fit it all in.

Thank you Kristen! I work with them to come up with rewards, behavior charts, picking my battles etc. finding some type of reward that is quick and can be done daily for them to be rewarded!
