    What so unique about Oshun is that she’s so against violence like she hates violence and vengeance. She’s all about the peace and the love and she’s very very, very unique.

    Oshun (Ochún) is still held sacred in many religions in the Caribbean.
    Could you do a video highlighting some of the Taino Gods as well? I would love to learn about some of the Caribbean beliefs on this channel.

      One question: does each tribe in Nigeria have a separate pantheon or do they believe in the same gods?

    • @samsonadeyemi2169
      @samsonadeyemi2169 8 місяців тому +1

      @@locusta-bw2vdrespectfully i would like to correct you on something. Nigeria has ethnic groups (the Yorubas, Hausas, ibibios, igbos and over 200 more ethnicities) some of the ethnic groups like the Yorubas have tribes within them.
      Now to ur question, yes, each ethnic groups has their own pantheon and what they believe in.

    A young boy whose mutilated torso was discovered floating in the River Thames last September was the victim of a gruesome West African 'religious' sacrifice intended to bring good luck, and was trafficked into the country expressly for the killing.Experts on African religion consulted by Scotland Yard believe Adam may have been sacrificed to one of the 400 'Orisha' or ancestor gods of the Yoruba people, Nigeria's second-largest ethnic group.
    Oshun, a Yoruba river goddess is associated with orange, the colour of the shorts, which were placed on Adam's body 24 hours after he was killed as a bizarre addition to the ritual. The body was then stored for a further 24 hours before being offered to the Thames.
    This poor child was murdered in London September 2021

      @@PsychicEdge4812 Soil, rocks and plants hold a unique pattern of radioactive isotopes. That pattern is reflected in people's bones via the diet, making it possible to match up individuals with geographic areas. In Adam's case the chemistry of his bones matched rocks of the Pre-Cambrian era, which are found in huge areas of Nigeria and a few neighbouring countries.
      The trail could have petered out again for the detectives as there are no detailed soil maps of Africa that would have allowed them to refine the search.
      But the team decided to take their own samples and build their own map. They spent two and a half weeks in Nigeria collecting up to 150 soil, rock and bone samples. This is what has allowed them to match Adam's remains to an area between Benin City and Ibadan in the south-west of the country.
      The area the child is from is close to Ibadan. On UA-cam there are videos relating to Ibadan forest of death. A shocking event
