    Tip for anyone still looking to do this . For the driver's side bulbs. Pull back the wheel well lining. Much easier to get to the bulb.

    Not sure if you noticed because I didn't at first but the lasfit H11's have a positive and negative. I thought my driver's side was bad till I looked closely at the connector and saw the + and -, switched the connector around and now it works.

    I found it easier to do the fog lights by getting a trim removal tool, pop off the black cover on the fog lights and take out the screws holding in the light. No need to crawl under the car then blindly look for the connector.

    Neat I'll be getting a 2018 in the next month the or so. Wanted the GT model for the lights and other features but most likely won't be able to finance that one so I'll be doing either touring or sport. Glad it's easy to upgrade the lights to LED

    • @TheAdventureAuto
      @TheAdventureAuto  5 років тому +2

      If you can get a 2.5 Touring that is best option. Slight bump in power with similar gas mileage, and nice features. Ive learned that resale is quite a bit better having touring over sport model.

      The Adventure Mazda yeah lights also look amazing with the day time running lights. I have an 08 GT hatch and that's going to go toward it. They of course have the loyalty program so I'd get more money for it plus I think there will be a 3,000$ rebate on the new car so odds are I'll at least be able to do touring. Crossing my fingers for GT though.

      My 2014 GT had bixenon headlights, which were better than LEDs. Make sure you don't have the bixenons, because you'll want to leave those the way they are. They're very expensive lights.

    Any issues with overheating inside the housing? And how is the cutoff?
    I dont want glare affecting other drivers since our projector housing was designed for halogen beam patterns rather than LED. Thank you for the video.

    • @TheAdventureAuto
      @TheAdventureAuto  6 років тому +3

      No overheating issues that ive seen so far. Cutoff is the same as halogens. Ive had mine installed for 2 years and have had people flash brights maybe 3 times. New vehicles that come from the factory with LEDs are more blinding than these.

    On the passenger side when you loosen the bottom part to get access to the fog... is it possible to see the window washing fluid container from there? Or do I need to take off the whole front end like a headlight replacement? ( My window washer system isnt working and it leaked everywhere when I went to fill, Im the second owner I have no idea what this fool did.. I assume it popped loose or something. )

    Great video but next time just use the side wheel panel on the front tires to access the Fog lights, it is much easier.

    • @TheAdventureAuto
      @TheAdventureAuto  4 роки тому

      I've used that panel when the wheel is off, but with the wheel on its pretty tight. I could turn the wheels each time, but coming in from underneath hasn't given me any issues. Just a couple screws.

    are your DRLs work after upgrading to LED?

    • @TheAdventureAuto
      @TheAdventureAuto  5 років тому

      Yes they worked with the conversion kit

    • @TheAdventureAuto
      @TheAdventureAuto  4 роки тому

      Only the High beam bulbs need the kit because they are used for the DRLs as well. The reason they dont work is because LEDs draw such little power that it doesnt register to illuminate them. The conversion routes both bulbs through one side so that the draw from both bulbs is registered and then they illuminate.

      thank you very much - exactly what I was looking for! Ordering the resistor now. Can I ask what H11 low beam and 9005/HB3 high beam LED bulbs you would recommend now, since you've tried a few? I was thinking the Lasfit 6000K for both low and high so the color would be the same - but not sure which lumen/wattage size I should get for low/high beams: 60, 90 or 120W? which is 7600, 10k, 15200 lumens? Thanks.

    • @TheAdventureAuto
      @TheAdventureAuto  5 років тому +1

      In reality I go on Amazon and look at reviews and see what people say. The ones I have are discontinued. I believe the high beams are made by Stark. LED bulbs and brands seem to cycle through and disappear. Just dont spend a lot of money because you can get great bulbs for cheap.

      junior dume On my ‘14 model the Fog lights and Low beam are both H11. The highbeam/day time running light are 9005. Generally you’ll have to use resistors if you are using an LED set up for the daytime running light to get them to function correctly. Resistors aren’t expensive and I’m sure there’s lot of tutorials on using them.
