i agree with most of your statement, but not the comparing thing, as it is inevitable and is often the only way many people are able to describe something they like. i mean, trust me, as a musician i totally get the entire pov about being compared to other bands being annoying or seemingly degrading of the artists work when a musician is working on making their own name for themselves and attempting to stand out with their own vision, but on the flip side often with new music many people need a reference point for accessibility or to be able to relate on a sonic level, and when they hear new stuff that they like instead of going into a detailed analysis of every part they like they instead link those qualities to something else similar.

Don't get me wrong, I love this song and I'm starting to get into this band, but I can't get over how the lead singer looks like Dr. Robotnik from the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. I'm crying.

That microphone stand is fucking sick. AR-15 handguards with angled foregrips and what looks like compound bow limbs all hinged together.
This is the type of music I want to hear in Cyberpunk 2077.

It's like someone went back to 1989 and took the best of everything that made the Wax Trax industrial artists so great and came back to the present day and made an awesome band out of all the ingredients.
Finally a modern industrial band that doesn't sound like shitty EDM music for sad people! Reminds me of industrial rock I listened to in the 90's. These guys fuckin' rule.

*Scene* walking across a frozen bridge to the venue to see tool in Nashville. The dose is kicking in. After much confusion, seats are finally found. Look to stage to see 3 teeth playing. Riding the dose as they play NIHIL. Uncomfortable confusion that I love sets in. Been listening to you guys since! A great addition to my first tool show.
