I can't tell if I'm just mishearing it but I swear I heard some Bless you! Boy from Mamorukun Curse! in the main melody around 1:22. Love the vibes you're going for in this piece, this kinda 90s ballad end credits theme is always a treat to discover in a bunch of obscure games!

Legit, I started to bawl my eyes out when I heard you reprise Dreams Come True at the end, there. I love that touch so much; that right there, it proves to me how much you love this game, John, no matter what. Derivative of others or not, you put your heart into this project and I'm so thankful you did, because it resonates so much with all of us.

The melody near the end somewhat reminds me of Mario Kart DS's credits theme and I love it for that reason. Great song!

I literally put earphones on and played this when I defeated sonic 3 & Knuckles
I was casually listening to the whole soundtrack in one go for the first time- I had never listened to this one. I swear, the moment Sweet Sweet Sweet came on at the end I was suddenly crying. So much nostalgia. Took me right back to the day I first beat Sonic 2 on that shitty laptop emulator I had when I was a kid. Top tier work, John.
Bringing Sweet Sweet Sweet and the other motifs in really brought this piece home. Your musical prowess is impeccable and I'm glad to have been along for the entire journey. I look forward to your future as a composer, and I'll make sure others adore your work as much as I do.

personally it just gives off serious nostalgia for earlier times, absolutely phenomenal work on this one
I like the inclusion of the Sonic 2 ending/Sweet Sweet Sweet cover, really kinda helps the player reflect on part of the journey to this point, draws a parallel to the other game musically, and still feels triumphant like the Sonic & Knuckles credits ending jingle. It truly does wrap up the Death Egg saga nicely

Edit: I'm not the biggest fan of death egg act 2's core song, but I've never really liked EDM or dubstep either, so that's a me problem.
