The first thing I do when I turn on your channel is to hit the thumbs up button. That way I don’t forget or get distracted. I always enjoy your content.
Congratulations, Bruno. Your pup is beautiful. We have a short haired chihuahua named Piper. She’s four years old. Have fun with your new puppy. Spay and neuter for their health and wellness!
Yes, that is very beautiful, looking cedar wood 🪵 , and that hat looks very good on you. It’s very becoming on you !! I am currently in Romania on vacation with family but I’m still enjoying your posts !! 😊
Regarding that pear tree, pear heartwood is very hard, dense, and fine grained. It would make an excellent benchtop, for that new workbench you keep putting off. If the straight part of the trunk is long enough, looks to be 4' -5', you may be able to get enough 8/4 boards out of it to glue up an excellent benchtop.
I am new to wood turning and have been buying boards and gluing them together. I am envious you have such beautiful slabs. I wish some day to get more greener, undried chunks of lumber. I love all of your videos, they are awesome.
Now that was some really nice looking cedar. I love the smell and look of cedar if it's of a qaulity like those boards are. Going to make some nice furniture, flooring or closet liner depending on what your customer has planed fir it. Your new puppy is definitely a heart stealer. Good luck on your garden.
Good job Nathan, glad Bruno picked the main half of a home security system , the Chihuahua and you get the other half, a .357 and you'll have things set. Looks great around there and the cedar on the mill was fantastic. Keep up the good work and stay safe around there and don't forget the fun times too. Fred.
Nice video ... Bruno is adorable ! You mentioned taking down the Pear Tree and hope you'll saw it up ... don't think I've ever seen the grain of a Pear Tree and would be interested to see what's inside her.
Johnathan, it was hard to see on my iPhone but it looked like Creeping Charlie. I had Creeping Charlie in our garden and wow was it hard to get rid of. I prevailed after years of work it’s gone. Oh by the way it’s the end of March and we still have 18 inches of snow on the ground.
It's good for Bruno to have his own critter to look after and train. And small dogs are all sorts of hell when they run into mice and rats. So it's a win/win.
Congratulations Bruno on your new pup. I’m behind on my views after being out in the country working on spring cleaning & putting up an RV awning at the ranch. That Flail Mower is in my future for sure !
I noticed that the last board off the mill was a bit thicker than the rest. Nothing a thickness planer can't fix and make a batch of yummy cedar smelling shavings at the same time.
Hey Nathan, took your advice and went to try The Fisherman’s Dock last week and wouldn’t you know it, they are closed on Monday. Oh well, next time I have a dr appointment in Johnson City, I’m gonna give it a try.
Tell Bruno how much my wife love his new puppy we lust lost our 15 yr old chi ours was a little bigger but just as loved so cute. Thanks for sharing your other dog too. Your life is definitely bettererer!
Hmm, I was expecting to see a different outcome from that flail mower.---Mmm, I have to let my imagination run wild about the smell of the cedar!---I wish I could have seen the chickens out in the finished garden!---And please make a comment about your hat!
Lot of people don't know farm eggs will last a couple of weeks without refrigeration. Just don't wash them. Love the dogs, tolerate the cats. GOD BLESS
I always like cedar , the look and the smell. I was curious on 2 things , Is the pear tree not a suitable wood for the mill ? Also the off cuts for the cedar look like they could be used for raised beds the bark side looks like a good rustic finished side.
Those wood chips are pretty concentrated in that one part of the garden, the chicken manure can get washed out. you'll end up with dead spots, or low producing areas, if nitrogen isn't added to breakdown the wood chips in those areas.
looking good Nathan...im putting up solar panels...thats nice looking wood...nice and wide...i got 40 bags of top soil..for my boxs,,,,i got a lot of work to do,,like you...got to get a used lawn tractor..grass is growing...i guess Mike Morgan is selling his Woodmizer to the cement man when he gets his new one....i like yours a lot...if i was in my 30s i would have one...Course i watched a lot of these saws at the fairs..i still have the cough some....staying out of the cold,,and its cold,,haa...i do things when the sun is shining...like the puppy,,stay well man..
I like your mower, but the "hammers" could be heaver. I think with what you are doing they'll do fine. When I managed a vineyard we had a flail mower from a company out of CA. It worked great. The hammers on that mower weighed around six pounds each. They really chewed up the prunings and just about anything the tractor could run over.
Hi Nathan, I wouldn't cut down the pear tree. It doesn't look like it's shading the garden much. I wish I lived in a climate where such trees grow (Boston).
Where I live, further East, my Amish neighbors use all kinds of equipment with motors. They have sawmills, tractors, bobcats, all kinds of things. No cars yet but give them 10 years and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them driving to the store instead of getting a ride with us English. A lot different now than not too long ago. Times change for everyone it seems. 😉
Chihuahuas? For the love of God....enjoy the barking! I love that you have an AmStaf!!! They are the breed that pits were bred from. In Europe, they're called Nanny Dogs because they are so comforting and protecting. I think they were bred with something else to make the modern day Pits.
Semanotus russicus , a beetle that kills cedar trees . Have you seen any? i have here in Kansas. Not a good bug. that cedar looks clen bug free and beautiful.

Nathan, sometimes your videos just make me so homesick...
I have to say that I have really enjoyed this video and can not understand how you have over 33k views and only 5.9k likes😮.
Congratulations, Bruno. Your pup is beautiful. We have a short haired chihuahua named Piper. She’s four years old. Have fun with your new puppy. Spay and neuter for their health and wellness!
Really cute pup. Nice looking cedar boards at least out of the log in this video.
Thank you

George is adorable, hopefully he doesn't get too yappy!

Great video, lots of variety, enjoy the new puppy.
I love to watch that saw mill run. It's mesmerizing .
Now that was some really nice looking cedar.

George is a great addition to the stock. Pretty darn cute too. Thanks.
Love the red cedar.
Very cute puppy.
We finally got an inch of rain today 😊. We're still just over two inches behind for the year, but it's a relief from the heat.
Just a quick Hello from New Jersey. Be well and stay safe.
Great video mate nice puppies keep up the good work
Thanks 👍
Hi George. RB, Nova Scotia.
It's good for Bruno to have his own critter to look after and train. And small dogs are all sorts of hell when they run into mice and rats. So it's a win/win.
Put a golf ball in each of the laying area. It will increase productivity.
Congratulations Bruno on your new pup. I’m behind on my views after being out in the country working on spring cleaning & putting up an RV awning at the ranch. That Flail Mower is in my future for sure !
Welcome back!
Bruno's pup is so cute! That was some beautiful red cedar nice boards. ❤
Thank you!! 😊
I noticed that the last board off the mill was a bit thicker than the rest. Nothing a thickness planer can't fix and make a batch of yummy cedar smelling shavings at the same time.
Isn't George the cutest little doggie... 🙂
One of your best videos bud! Loved seeing the creatures & the work that goes in to owning a plot! Great mixture & great milling! 😊
Hey Nathan, took your advice and went to try The Fisherman’s Dock last week and wouldn’t you know it, they are closed on Monday. Oh well, next time I have a dr appointment in Johnson City, I’m gonna give it a try.
Can’t wait for the snow to go so we can start our garden. 👍🎅🏻
As always another really good video! Keep it up Nathan.

Been missing the streams, I’ve got a few more questions since your last stream on how to mill. Look forward to the next one
Still have snow in Steuben county
7:00 hello there 👋

I think you should saw that peer tree 🌳 just so we can see what it looks like 👍 😊😊😊
agreed

Love George. ❤
thanks for showing the Flail mower. i seen a different design on if cutters another.
Hi Nathan. Clover is good for the soil. It fixes nitrogen.
What can you make with some pear wood
Enjoyed that Nathan, wonder what George will be like next year?
Good question
Very funny puppy

This is December Christmas time in p in north Texas
When are you going to put Brono to work on your lawns and around the farm?
He does off camera most of what you see is done while he is at school

How often do you sharpen the blades? That looks tedious.
hi there nice show john
Thanks for coming
Hi Nathan, I wouldn't cut down the pear tree. It doesn't look like it's shading the garden much. I wish I lived in a climate where such trees grow (Boston).
About how long does it take to kiln dry cedar like that?
Bout 10 days
What you paying BF to your logger. Just seeing how close price is there to here
How did that one hydraulic cylinder get so rusty? I didn't see anything else on the tractor with that kind of rust.
That’s a good question. Not sure what happened there.
@@OutoftheWoods0623 A mystery! I hope we'll be seeing more of George - he's as cute as a button!
Thanks. I’ll probably try to sand it down and paint it
So pretty
Have you looked into mulchers/stump grinders? Those things are really nice!
Not yet
@@OutoftheWoods0623 best if you don't. 😂 you'll want one.
Nathan has adopted the "Amish look" ... until he gets on the tractor or sawmill.
The tractor would make him Menonite. i.e. The mechanized Amish.
To be Mennonite wouldn’t he have to shave his mustache?
Where I live, further East, my Amish neighbors use all kinds of equipment with motors. They have sawmills, tractors, bobcats, all kinds of things. No cars yet but give them 10 years and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them driving to the store instead of getting a ride with us English. A lot different now than not too long ago. As much as I enjoy watching your videos, what I really like is your music. Do you have a virtual play list I can purchase?
I do not, I buy all music through a third party, most of the songs I don't even know the artist info,
One thing you didn't say is, you can't find a better tasting egg then (turely) fresh eggs!
Watch out for hawks when George is outside, Nathan. Just curious, can you just turn the clover and cover into the soil instead of tilling?
I could. Just wanted an execute to run the mower

We love your comments about the most hateful cat on the internet, .its like it gives the cat an elevated status over all other cats😊
Hey Caabage!!!
Morning!
Semanotus russicus , a beetle that kills cedar trees . Have you seen any? i have here in Kansas. Not a good bug. that cedar looks clen bug free and beautiful.
Just released, no coffees
Instead of taking down the per tree, why not use the shade to your advantage? Plant something that doesn’t want full sunlight
🇺🇸🗽🚜
Nice job Nathan, btw, did you order those secondary backstops with the mill or was that an add on afterwards?
they come on the 70
Im starting to think you might have a tractor fetish....lol as always good stuff
Thanks for noticing 😂
