Fantastic.. Great job..
Marty, you have proved to me once again, that you do not have to have the the voice of the original artist or overcomplicate the guitar playing to produce really enjoyable versions of these tunes! Sure, the guitar snobs will like to criticize the simplicity of these songs, but for most audiences, and mere mortal guitar players, your stuff is pure magic. THANK YOU for putting your stuff up and keep it coming!
Wow, thanx for your kind words. You have nailed on the head the reason I created my channel. I want to be able to teach all levels of player to have fun playing some classic tunes. No smoke, no mirrors, just an easy way to produce great tunes. So thank for noticing and understanding what I'm trying to do. Thanx also for your support and for tuning in, take care and good luck
PartyMarty EasyGuitarTunes
Fully agree with you
I actually play lead and throw in some lead. Really enjoy your mudic. Keep it coming.

Nice Gibson
Great stuff marty!!!!!
Thank you very much!!
Brilliant. Thanks so much!
Thank you, you are very welcome!!!
RUNNING THRU THE BACKWOOD BAREEEEE..... ima chase that Hudu... over there.
9/10 for me, great struming lesson. For strunmers!!!!!
Hi Marty great work as us usual. Since most of us including me don`t have a voice like John C. Fogerty my approach in this kind of music is to transpose the song 4 steps lower. Starting with A7 in my case is far better concerning the vocal part rather than singing too low. Don`t you agree?
Marty
Any chance for Different Drum
Linda R.
Thanks great work
Cheers
Gavin
Nailed it! Super!!!! And tx
Thanx, I'm glad you think so, thanx for tuning in
Again Marty very well done. Was just wondering, if you could try and do a good old one,, Its stuck in the middle with you, by Steelers wheel. Hope to see ya teach it. Thanks Les from Ontario!!
That is a great tune. I t is definately on my radar in the near future. I'm glad you like the channel and thanx for tuning in
Love ur stuff, I laugh every time u say u do a slap strum on this ...do u ever NOT do a slap strum lol love that u simplify great songs THANKS
lol, I do sometimes and sometimes not, depends on the song, but it's true, I use it a lot, it's a neat trick for us ex-drummers!! Thanx for tuning in again and for your continues support. Hey, I'm trying to reach 100k subscribers so please spread the word about my channel, it would be greatly appreciated, thanx
I'm writing a story that's set in 1969, and it features an acoustic guitar player who's a fan of "modern" music. I played sax for 7 years, which gave me my appreciation for music, but I have no earthly idea how stringed instruments work. So this was extremely helpful. Thank you so much for this, sir!
G'day Marty I just discovered your videos and I am really lovin' 'em man! Thank you so much for making all these great songs easy and fun to learn. I am just starting to pick up a guitar and play and sing again after many years so really appreciate your assistance. Cheers mate. PS If you ever visiting Sydney pleasel let me know...I'll throw you a party!

Been watching you for a while now. All your videos are great. Helped me in many ways to improve my playing and for that I thank you. Where can I request a lesson? Looking for some easy Eric Church.... Springsteen, smoke a lil smoke, homeboy, Jack Daniels. Also some easy Men at Work..... down under and who can it be now. Thanks in advance!!
Jason Gratkowski Wow!! You are going to keep me busy for a while!! lol. I actually have a few Springsteen tunes on my channel now, here is the link to my channel: ua-cam.com/channels/OYZWQMDPBntiIRjHRWfXcg.html have a look around there or just type Partymarty Sprigsteen in youtube and they should come up, I've got 6 Springsteen tunes on there all made easy. I'll keep the rest of your suggestions in mind for possible future projects, thanx for tuning in, Good Luck and take care
Party Marty…I admire you immensely buddy..The way you teach your personality is just amazing…you cover such a wide genre of music…songs.. simply the best Marty…Thankyou so much ..for your great teaching channel..
Marty would you please tell me which model Gibson Guitar that it is you play….It really is a beautiful Guitar.. My great thanks Marty I-have visited your channel in numerous occasions..and have always learned from you ..Thankyou so much friend..michael a..🎸🙏
I like to play the E with a C7 shape starting on the fifth fret. You can leave the high and low E strings open or mute them as needed. You can then go into the bar chords or move back down (?) the neck to the open D and A.
Fogerty plays both the E7 at the 5th fret and as shown here. While singing a verse he is at the 5th, but in the chorus he is playing as shown by Marty.
How about tutorial on Johnny Ace ‘Pledging My Love’
thanks it helps my playing rich
Hay Marty next you sing can you sing solo solo we can't hear you ha ha ha .
thx ypu sir for lesson
I do care for acoustic, been an electric person for long time.
But Marty is awesome - going to buy my 1st acoustic asap :)
This is awesome Marty
More power to you Marty
👍
Sorry your strumming is why too fast you need to brake it down slowly and add down and up in notation - where its needed. Most people would be turned off this. I am not a beginner but I do not want to spend hours trying to figure out what your doing. If your aiming this and other videos at the beginner level its way too fast and not much information. The guitar playing is great and so is the singing but that is not the aim of the video. A lot of videos on the web are like this. ie too fast and make massive assumptions on player knowledge, to the point of smugness.
Ok, here it goes, I am going to try again and explain to you WHAT THIS channel is, meaning the one I created, truly is. It is how I learned to play guitar, by muddling through the chords and watching someone else and trying to play along. I guarantee if you put the time in to where you recognize the chords but watching someone play you will then be able to eventually keep up and play along, which is exactly how I learned many moons ago. Put in the time practicing, not bashing my teaching style. You may think you are ready for the next level but until you can recognize a chord someone is playing, and play it your self and begin to recognize a pattern of a song, than this channel may not be for you. I have almost 15 million views and 70k subscribers that would totally go against with what you aid about my channel so please think before you type as I work very hard to bring these songs to the public and don't appreciate those who choose to type shit before understanding what it is I am trying to do. Good luck in your learning just the same. I hope it works out for you.
@@partymartyeasyguitartunes1711Thanks for that. I am sorry for my comments i was bit frustrated at the time. A lot of guitar videos are very vague and expecting people to get it. Some of it is due to mental block i have when it comes to certain teaching styles. Thank you for the comment and feedback.
Honestly, if you cant get this rhythm, you are a beginner. That being said, technology can be your friend. Theres an option on youtube to slow down videos. Slow it down until you can keep up and then gradually increase your speed. Dont watch....listen. you make music with your ears, not your eyes.
Do you like Gibson Songwriter much better than the j200. I have never played either. Thanks for the great lessons man. Keep up the great work.
I have to say I like the Gibson songwriter better than my Ej200 only because one is a Gibson and one is an Epiphone, The Ej200 still sounds great, but there is nothing like my Gibson. It resonates longer and further than any I've played. Now it might be different to play a Gibson j200, I may sing a different tune. Hope this helps
I have learned a lot from you.thank you so much.you are a very good teacher.I play with the slap to.
Good job sounds great! can you do Green River? that is another great CCR tune
That is a great tune. I am trying to answer a tonne of requests right now but I will definitely put yours on the list for a possible future project. Thanx for tuning in, good luck!!
Nice! Sign me up. Can you do a lesson on "Going to a Go Go"? Great party song but I can't find a good lesson for it.
Triple love
PartyMarty I love how you make these all seem so simple, you definitely have given me the confidence to try singing even though i am terrible, but you make the songs your own with your voice. I think you are an amazing contribution to the world of music with all of what you have done on this channel. Keep doing what you do. AND THANKS
You are very very welcome and thank you for all your very kind words. I love opening up music to all levels for pure enjoyment. I am glad you are trying your singing out. It will get better, just keep trying and if it makes you feel good, what could be better? Thanx for tuning in, good luck and stay safe
Joy...Marty for president...please...any Ry Colder....begging!!!.xxx
I am learning to play the bass, and have been taking lessons for about five months now without ever having played an instrument before. I am relearning the theory, but every now and again, my instructor will let me *noodle* and play a song or riff and he will jam along with me. He says a *taste of desert* every now and again before dinner is a good thing. Anyways, I listen to music differently now. I heard this song on the radio this morning and decided I wanted to learn it. I have it about 75% down, then I came across your video.
WOW...I really dig your style. How you play it with your own vibe is what I am looking for...not to match the notes perfectly, but to do my own thing..I must have jammed to your video for an hour straight tonight...
I learning on a Fender Squire P-Bass with D'Addario flat-wounds....basic guitar and a basic amp...I love it.
Keep up the good work sir and *thanks for jamming with me tonight*
That's great!! I am soo glad you are learning and playing long as that is exactly my goal. And make it your own a little I always say, have fun with it my friend. Good luck to you and keep playing!!!
Marty, can you play green river?
That is a great tune. I am trying to answer a lot of requests right now but will keep yours in mind for a possible future project. Thanx for tuning in. Hey, I'm trying to reach 100k subscribers so please spread the word about my channel, it would be greatly appreciated

Just sending a big hearty thanks for posting this and sharing such a brilliant song. I like your strumming style a lot. I first learnt how to play this from a CCR tablature book and the various solos are loads of fun. Great video and i think your voice suits your style perfectly. Really cool vid thanks again. Time to get back into guitar I stopped 17 years ago and regret that a lot
🤗🤗🤗🙏
Hi Marty. Another enjoyable song by you. I have commented on some of your other songs how much your type of teaching makes it fun for the beginner or even the advanced. Keep it up - CCR, Three Dog Night, Beetles, Clapton, Stones, Doobie Brothers, etc. It's all good. Thanks.

Thanks Marty. I've been playing for a few years and taking some lessons, but I need to develop a library of fun tunes to play with my friends when they come over, or when I bring my acoustic along and I don't have pedals, backing tracks, etc. I've started going through these one after another.
+Anthony Devito That's great, I tried to make these tunes easy for all to play and selected tunes that will work in a party situation. I hope you have great success at your next jam. good luck and take care.
Really glad I found your channel

Thank you PartyMarty. I am a newbie, at 58 years old, started in mid April. 5 weeks off for carpal tunnel surgery...... Never too old to learn a new trick so some say. I take lessons once a week, and your work will help me hone in on familiar riffs n tunes. So far, I have these songs down pretty good. Down on the Corner, Changes in Latitudes Changes in Attitudes, Knocking on Heavens Door. Not so much the lead parts...ha ha. I have two in the stable, a G Series Tak and a 70's classic Strat. Love every minute I get to play. Be well Sir and thank you
