Looking great Z, it's nice to see someone who actually uses the weighted normals modifier, in my opinion one of the most essential modifiers that has been added recently, makes a huge difference, especially when using painter, but i hardly ever see anyone use it.
@@lisasharpe sorry if it was too fast. You can pay me to make a wheel or if you tell me exactly what you want, I can make another video and do it slowly for you. Would you call yourself a relative beginner in Blender? Just to give me an idea of what you need.
@@zerobio Thanks for your response. I am a total beginner with 3D and am working through the donut tutorials and will give this a try again when I am done. I did get part way through my wheel but gave up (I am autistic and have other issues with this as well - like our country is out of electricity half the day so practice is hard!). My wheels have shaped spokes (vintage metal farm) I totally understand as I have my own tutorial channel (@lisasmodelhorsediy). Maybe I could message you if I get stuck on my wheel. I am a computer person and figure I can learn this fairly quickly. The wheel is for one of my tutorials - I need print files to help people create my final vision. I realize once I figure out how to make my wheel I also have to make it "printable". I do have a professional printer who is very nice and can tell me "no" as many times as needed before printing a sample.
When I use spin or spin duplicates and then use those as a boolean to produce cutouts, only one of the items produces the cutouts and the rest are ignored. I don't understand.
@@zerobio Thanks. I got it to work by using the array modifier. I used to work with 3D studio max and this blender is like completely different. For example I'm looking down on a cylinder and I want to select the 2 vertices of one of the edges but it only selects the top one. I suppose the other one is "hidden" under the top one but it's still within my selection. I spent 10 minutes fiddling with the selection and in the end I have to select each vertex by hand because the selection box does not work.
@@zerobio yeah, i feel like 3ds max had a high learning curve but made more sense and blender is tailored towards beginners, like don't select a vertex you can't see etc. either way, it's free right?! haha. thanks for your help. "x-ray" mode allowed me to select vertices "hidden" behind other vertices but within my selection... pfft :D
@@dronefootage2778 Totally understand. I think if money was no object and I was starting again, I would use Maya or Max. But obviously Blender is fantastic as well. Thanks.
Ok now I know what it is. Similar to the wagon wheel, I guess. Thing is, there are many different version of it so, if you are really interested in this, email me at kimmelelliott@gmail.com and include a couple of images of exactly what you are looking for and I will see if I can make a video showing how to model it.
@@zerobio hi thanks for your reply...am gonna mail you the images...actually in India it is used as symbol of dhamma ie Buddhism and it is very very respected figure in Buddhism. Am also learning Blender and could use it as beginner..... but you are a expert bro ...I am fortunate to see you working in blender and modelling various things. I think you are very prefect in every thing. I would like to learn from you. IF possible can you make series of video's describing how to use blender from Beginner to Pro It will be very helpful to all The people. As I think you are the Master of blender

Sorry I missed this comment. Sometimes they don't show up and I have to search them out. Thanks.
@@zerobio You don't have to respond to every one, you have plenty more followers than just me :)

Thank you...
Sure thing :)
well that left me in the dust! Way too fast to follow along. Guess I will have to pay someone to make a wheel file for me!

Check that all faces are facing outwards, check that any extra vertices are merged and naybe apply all transformations. See if that helps.

Try turning some more lights on, its bad for your eyes that it is dark.
I can't recall for sure, but I may have made this when one of my kids was very young and sleeping in the same room :)

Hi Freind, can you please let me know how to create Ashok chakra in Blender with 24 spoke ......please request you to make a video and do tag me
I'm not sure what that is. I'd have to look it up and see if it is something I could model.
