When I first watched this film and saw Edward's shadow I was scared but then when I saw his face, I just fell in love with him and felt so sorry for him that I started crying. I cried another 12 times and as soon as I met Edward I just knew that this was going to be my favourite film.
Its just amazing how Tim Burton can trasform something so dark and scary into a beautiful thing, I'm a very fan of him, i was about 6 when i saw this movie for the very first time, im 15 and i remembered this movie and i was like "I'm going to watch this for the second time after 10 years!" increible moviee... Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride love them too.
The way peg say "those are your hands?" is so sweet, that actress was perfect.so we're all the other characters. I want to be Edward for Halloween and I could learn how to portray Edward from watching this movie again.
I would watch this movie, laugh at all the funny parts no matter how many times i watch, cry, and smile. Such a master - piece! You don't want it to end!!!!! :)
Just Amazing. No other words to describe this movie. It's so deep,so motional and Johnny Depp have done a fantastic job! He was only 20 and he was incredible! He's such s great actor. I've watched it about 10 times and I cried every time. It's definitely my favourite movie!
Edward Scissorhands is one of my favorite movies ever made. Imagine if Robert Downey Jr. or Tom Cruise HAD gotten the part?? Weird... This movie gives me the chills every single time though. Wynona is very cute in it
@@damage6836 it is possible, ya know, that someone else might not have done as good of a job playing the role and it might not have come out as well. Actors can make or break a movie, so stop being a prick.
This was my first time ever to see this movie and it is one i will never forget. I was watching the 2008 scream awards and saw clips of this movie and immediately became entranced with it. I had to see the rest of it and though it was sad it was truly genius. I looked into it further and found a story someone wrote that continued his story in falling in love with wednesday from the addams family......a must see.
They filmed this in the town that I lived and went to High School in. Land O' Lakes, Florida. They actually paid one of my closest girlfriends at the time and her whole neighborhood to move them out and put them up in a hotel while they transformed their neighborhood by painting their houses and putting all the cut up bushes in their yards and stuff. When they were done they put all those plants on the side of the road at some guys garage, I used to see em every morning on the bus ride to HS.
watching this movie is so surreal for me, i live about half an hour away from where the movie was filmed, and the homes are EXACTLY like my childhood home in suburban florida. its so weird watching it, like having edward appear in my old living room, (which would be awesome).
see, I was a fan of Depp at a young age as well - about eight I suppose, so now it's hard for me to look at him in the "sexy" way because I just remember being eight and seeking out movies of his. I guess it's good, because he doesn't want to be seen as "sexy" anyway. I just see his brilliant acting abilities. It's a crime he's not WON an oscar yet.
This is one of my favorite movies of all time... only the big difference is I did cry. I don't think almost is the proper term to use when describing this beautiful movie.
I live in Florida and have family members that live near the location where this was shot. Remember the big red arch in the scene before the one lady shows Edward the new salon? I felt so cool standing next to it x] And apparently my dad used to get his hair cut in that very salon when he was little and then visit the cafe across the street where the family was eating after Edward "saw the backroom" of the salon. It's a small world after all! :{D
This is the cutest movie I have ever seen. Instead of little kid movies which are considered cute I was raised off Tim Burton. Music wise I was raised off Black Sabath, Queen, and Aerosmith. Not Hannah Montana or whatever shit was popular then.
her house was about 5 down from the cul de sac where the castle was at. It was cool seeing that in the film because it was never actually there, it was digitally put in. I guess they filmed the castle parts in a hollywood lot somewhere.
I always wondered how Edward could live up in that house. What did he eat, pigeons? I love this movie to death! Tim Burton's earlier work is so weird and kickass!
It's called Matthew Bourne's Edward Scissorhands. You can found the website on google. I can't put the adress on youtube. The musical play on stage in London. I heard Tim Burton enjoyed the musical when he saw it.
Yeah that makes sense....the part when the Avon lady finds him in the attic, the image of him coming out of the shadows creeps me out, the more I think about it the more i think that I was simply too young when I saw the film first. so would you actually watch the movie now? or would that be too much?
NOBODY could ever play Scissorhands as well as Johnny. It is like he was born to play this role.
You'd be saying the same thing no matter who played him
This is my Most Favorite movie at all time!! i almost cried....
Same here! There was this one point where I was so obsessed with it, I watched it once or twice a day.. but I don't watch it as often now.
I DID cry
I love johnny depp. Him and tim burton work together lots.
His mom "He was a loner" So blunt! LOL
Johnny Depp is such an amazing actor in this movie, I don't k now how he makes his eyes look so "hurt"
I wish Johnny and Winona would get back together one day

Dammit! When said "Don't... Go.." it already hit me in the feels. Such a cute story. ^•^

I legit sobbed after this movie
When I first watched this film and saw Edward's shadow I was scared but then when I saw his face, I just fell in love with him and felt so sorry for him that I started crying. I cried another 12 times and as soon as I met Edward I just knew that this was going to be my favourite film.

I cried so hard at the end of the movie.
omg from 6:44-6:51, he has the sweetest, most innocent look in his eyes!!
I cried so much at the end. Very beautiful!
Johnny Depp is SO amazingly good looking! :) love him!
everytime I look at him I'm just like "ugh I wish he was real..." haha
Gosh, Tim was so young here.
Whoa, so that’s how Edward Scissorhands was created & started off as a sketch that Tim Burton drew as a teenager.
Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride love them too.
watching in 2013, saw the movie years and years ago, but i still feel so sorry for Edward!
i never tire of watching this film, this is Burton's and Depp's best work!
The way peg say "those are your hands?" is so sweet, that actress was perfect.so we're all the other characters. I want to be Edward for Halloween and I could learn how to portray Edward from watching this movie again.
The water bed has healing powers, it never drained.

Edward has the same hair as Tim.
He's supposed to represent a young Tim Burton.
Edward Scissorhands is one of my favorite movies ever made. Imagine if Robert Downey Jr. or Tom Cruise HAD gotten the part?? Weird... This movie gives me the chills every single time though. Wynona is very cute in it
Downey could’ve played the part well, but Depp was perfect in it.
You'd be praising whoever played him

Did anyone decide to keep their house the color it was in the movie?
