thank you so much for this!! I’ve long been inspired by Cornwall and am a queer writer who finds hope and happy connection in the work of artists who lived in Cornwall
I love the respect and research that went into this, and I really enjoyed learning more about Cornwall’s queer history through art! 🌈✨ oll an gwella 🥰

I see the use of Gluck's famous stepped white frame throughout. One of her own design and copyrighted accordingly. Nice touch!

I wonder why the ANDROGYNE was revered within the very earliest high civilisations such as Mesopotamia & Greece .They are merely another form of human, yet their importance in culture was widespread.

    Hi! How are you?
Korea/Seoul has been raining, windy, snowy and cold since this week. Winter has literally begun.
I hope health and good things will be with you for the rest of the week. ^O^

    It's Cornwall, not Cornhole!

This is really insulting. Trying to impose the terminology of today is wrong. Many people find these terms offensive now. Stop rewriting history.

LGBTQ+, Q = queer. You probably know this already but Queer has been taken back. I think this is beautiful, creating space for query and queering.

@@Gulfstreams I do know that but that doesn't apply when referring to people that can't consent either way. I'm not criticising the choice to use it now, rather the retrospective application of it to people who have no say in the matter.

I don't think it's rewriting history to talk about the past in modern terms, it's pretty much the norm. That gets more obvious the further back that history is, no one talks like Shakespeare when talking about Shakespeare. The purpose of history is to teach something to modern people, so we use their language

I agree, the people Colquhoun was writing about were lesbans, not 'queer'. The Tate is infested with gender-ideology lunacy, so this disrespect is no surprise.

@@Gulfstreams "Queer has been taken back." Says a minority of gender activists. There are still many gay people who resent this term. You'll note that the LGB = same-sex attracted. What do you think the 'Q' stands for in LGBTQ+? It stands for 'Queer' which = heterosexuals LARPing.
