The reel seems to be made especially for PE line but would I be able to use it with fluorocarbon without any compromise? I am planning on using the 300 XHL version for glide baits and will be targeting largemouth bass and striped bass.

Actually no, the DAIWA official says the spool is customized for braided line so the mono lines can damage the spool. Tatula TW 300 may be better with those lines.

Another great review and comparison, thank you. I always wanted to ask where the reviews are shot? Are you based in Australia by any chance?

      Thank you very much :)
We are afraid we do not officially announce where we do reviews but some of them are yes, we also do review in Australia too, to see how JDM gears work overseas.

So whats the difference of the this saltist tw and the Lexa TW? Great review. Thanks!

      Thank you :)
We are afraid Lexa TW is not a JDM products so we do not have one, but from spec Saltist TW has thicker spool Lexa, so the line capacity is shorter. The handle is also different, Saltist has basic double handle comparing to Lexa's single handle. The UTD drag of Lexa is a little older system than Saltist's ATD, so assuming Saltist has better drag system. I am also expecting the magnet brake system should be upgraded in these 2 years since Lexa's 2021.
One more thing, I am feeling that the Hyper Tough Clutch of Saltist is much durable than the previous models without it. Hope this helps :)

Hello? I have a 24metanium DC. Will Daiwa Saltist TW PE have better distance than MetaniumDC in the Ocean field?

Hi Hmmm it's hard question, the brake systems are totally different, and totally depends on your feeling. To me, I would use Metanium DC as I feel DC brake is less cast trouble therefore I can rely on more and not hesitate to cast faster.
But DC brake with braided line can be a little too strong or too as it is not able to make precise brake adjustments, against DAIWA's dial setup, so if you like DAIWA's MagZ brakes then feel confident casting that reel, Saltist might give you better distance as you might have more proper brake strengh from 20-step dial.
