I loved the subtext of what Mandi sent me; not just a funny visual comment on life, but a comment to remind me to let the sun in and let my panels recharge.
My dear friend Meg, it's 5 a.m. and I've been up all night with a kidney stone feeling cranky and snarky. Then you played this video and I found it so funny my mood was lifted. You have a gift of humor my friend. 😊
A few years ago, I was very sick and bed-ridden. I watched all of Walter's videos and in doing so, healed much fast seeing and hearing him everyday resulting in a quick improvement in my health. When I mentioned this to Meg, she said Walter had healing powers. Honestly, he really did and was so loved by everyone.
@JadeStrawberry Walter was a lovable crank who voiced his opinions at all things great and small. He was a cheeky monkey that I couldn't get enough of.
Really warmed my heart, there's a haiku-like quality to this video 😊 There's a haiku I quote to myself frequently. Ryokan was a travelling monk in 17th century Japan; he was quiet and unassuming and loved children and nature. One evening he returned home to his hut in the wilderness to discover he had been robbed. Taking stock of the absence of the very few and meager instruments he used to survive, he grinned and gazed out at the evening sky and said: "One thing the thief left behind; the moon at my window." It's always reminded me that things that are truly beautiful and essential cannot be stolen from us, everything else is just stuff.
I think you're the only person who has picked up on why I put the video up; it's a metaphor for life, in particular my life. It's not just washing a solar panel, it's saying you need to let the sun in or recharge somehow. You picked up on the poetic quality of what it was saying. I love your monk robbed story. You can't take away the things which are intangible but so meaningful if you choose to see them.
@@Megabattie It means a tremendous amount to me that we're able to "see" each other. What you do is so meaningful, but it's exhausting, too. I hope you're taking care of yourself. Nobody else can do that for you, and the world will always need saving. If you need to rest the world will just have to wait. I wish I could offer up more inspiration, but I'm actually a very dour person, which is why I found this video so comforting. The sun shines; thank you for reminding me to open up the curtains☺
Couldn’t have loved this more. Been a hard and sad week at my house… a close friend of mine committed s*icide (62 and didn’t want to go on anymore ) and our landlord decided to tell us at Christmas he’s selling our house and we can’t afford anything out there now 😢 I think today Im going to wash my solar panel and just be. ❤❤
Yay another person understood the metaphor I was putting up. Poor you, the rental market is really difficult at the moment and the last thing you need over Christmas is the stress of not knowing where you will go and how you'll manage a move. I'm sorry about your friend and how hopeless it must have been for him/her.
Thanks for the video Meg, we all need a little pep talk. ( Exploring solar powered wobblers on the internet, I came across one of a bat that wobbles over a haunted house)
Those are the cutest wee gadgets (or are they thingamabobs? Whatchamacallits?) I have ever seen. I WILL have to hunt some down. They are all precious but the elephant (?) in the red bathing trunks (those are trunks so it *must* be an elephant!) is my fav. Thanks for sharing the critters and the sentiment.
I think the elephant might be a koala. I have the yellow chick (Mandi gave it to me about 10ish years ago) THey're called wobblers - google solar powered wobblers to find them, or try in the dollar shops.
I have the yellow chick; Mandi gave it to me years ago; I like to hear it clicking when it's sunny> I just love this video because she was telling me that I needed a recharge, and sometimes feeling better is just a matter of washing your solar panels. For me, it means getting some sunlight on my soul.
Actually I do know how it happened; I had the video as unlisted, and used the unlisted link when I put it on the community page, but I thought it might as well be a video public on the channel, so I made it public 5 hours after the unlisted link went up. People who commented did so on the unlisted link.
Thanks for spreading the good humor. You perform Herculean efforts to provide care, even in the worst case scenarios.
Excellent !
Ok Megs thank you for sharing. I hope you're doing well.
AWWWW WORDS OF WISDOM ❤
LET THE SUNSHINE IN!! ❤❤❤
Aw, love them ❤
We can always count on Mandi and Meg for words of wisdom. Shake those hips!
Awwww cute!!!❤❤❤❤
Thank you for making my day brighter. 😊
Mandi made my day brighter, so I shared it
@ many of us appreciate it.
I hope you enjoy your day, Meg and for brightening mine ☀️🦇💕🌿

aweeeeee, meg, they are dancing for you and all the little batties gone , thanks for sharing them ❤

Homeopathic meds saved me a few times from this ailment. Not eating peaches cured me of my kidney stone issues too.
Feel better.❤

It worked!!!! Sun is a therapy for body and mind, to me
Much love Meg. Sending smiles and hugs from the states!
*gigglesnort* NOT what i was expecting, but exactly what was needed, thanks ladies!
You have just reminded me that I have one of these as Father Christmas - time to dig him out from under the tinsel.
good plan
Emotionally drained, that's it!😞 My #1 remedy: laughter and we do need the sun=vitamin D.👍🌞🥰
Yep, so just allow your solar panels to recharge and get back to your normal self
@@Megabattie Wonderful advice Meg!👍🥰

@@hibryd7481 I just had to let a little more sunshine in; I might be random for a while; the deaths continue.

Work has been difficult lately. When feeling alone, I come to this channel. Lifts my spirit. Thank you Meg for your gift of rescue. 😔
Thanks Stormseeker; we had a thunderstorm with fat splatty raindrops but very few of them; I love thunder and lightning unless I'm caught in it.
lol. That's adorable.

I actually have a couple of these Meg!❤😇😇❤️🖤🦇🖤❤️
