Lester, one thing I have noticed about you and your brother Dan, is that you both have a slight lisp. I have a beloved stepson who also has a slight lisp so I am used to hear it. And one thing I have noticed is that when you get excited, it becomes a bit more pronounced! The same with Dan and the same with my stepson. To me hearing that just told me how excited you were and it made my heart happy! I was laughing with joy at the happiness I was hearing in your voice! 💖💖💖 The ABC's are slowly learning to trust. I hope not to come across as a know it all, or that I am trying to tell you how to run your farm. I just have been in such situations myself and now I have become more aware of heeding what I think of, as warnings. Just for now, it might be wise to close off the spot in dividing fence so the little goats don't cross over. It would not be good to take a chance. Only take a moment for the donkeys to hurt or kill that baby. The fact that you saw the baby goat in there could be a warning to let you know to close up the hole for now. Please know this is just my thoughts, I wanted to share them since you say you are always open to ideas. Also it was so happy you gave the little donkeys a home. They needed love.

Treats and patience is the key. I used this method on three feral cats that lived in my yard and they are now lap cats and sleep in my arms and at night in bed with me. It really does work.
Feral momma cat lived & ate IN my house for a year, before I could touch her. Finally, she would be brushing up against one of my cats, & my hand could "slip" on to her & she learned she wasn't being hurt. Still no lap, but progress.
