My neighbor was visiting, and telling me about the watering posts he has installed for his livestock. He said they don't come cheap, but they have saved him time and water and is sure that they will pay for themselves in no time. I have not checked them out, but thought of you while he was explaining, just passing it along.
Hey Lester, Ask PawPaw about the fissa plant. He has to dig up the plants from the roots carefully because the seads will spread. Hope You get better 🙏🏻❣️❗️Nancy
He got to live my dream petting dani& ruby oh Sadie just melts my heart she is so dedicated to her job, best place & decision brining her there& i am sure the cows need her just as much as she needs them stay safe ✌️🐮🐾
That plant you thought was a thistle is a type of spurge plant. They are bad news, and was probably why you had a reaction while you were mowing. They aren’t good for livestock either, maybe get some weed killer or use vinegar, salt, water, and dish soap mix to spray on them. That other plant is a pepper vine plant and will attach to the trees and choke them out. I used the picture this app to identify those plants, it’s a great app that I use a lot!
Lester your are so much like my son he is a people person to and he would react the same way as you did. He would find out who that was and then have a great conversation with him😂
Brian took his chances not contacting you first before he trespassed onto your property. Doesn’t he know that country folk carry rifles just for this sort of occasion! Lol😅🤐❤
JAMI AND LESTER - PLEASE READ MY COMMENT. J & L Ranch is such a blessing! There's a reason why the deer trust you and this property.I would NEVER give up this wonderful piece of property. i'm going to believe that this is your true intended paradise and a GOD-SEND continuation and expansion of the sanctuary. Think about it - in an unreal SHORT amount of time, you have saved 5 animals in desperate need that just happened to just show up!!!!
Fresh from the live.. J & L would make a beautiful family homestead. I'd be sad to not see the beautiful LHL property but it's understandable why you'd consider putting it up for sale now that you've been there long enough to figure out its just not going to suit all of your needs for the animals. Not to mention the erosion on the cliff side that's going to run into the pastures eventually. You don't know what you don't know, some things can only be learned over time when it comes to properties. I'll be here watching your progression as long as you'll be making videos and I'm still alive & kicking. Sending much love to yall!
@kellymarie80. WONDERFUL comment Kelly...you perfectly spoke for me as well!! It is indeed such a gorgeous piece of land, but given all things, I too would consider a move. Thankfully, because its Jami and Lester, whatever they do will end up beautiful too! 💜Janice
That was so sweet, Lester! That man will not forget. It's always good to make friends with people who have rights to come on your property. Like this situation.❤
They could of txt you to warn you, its nice that he was nice & not a grumpy person, & he loved on the babies too, such a special person to spare a bit of time for you & the babies ❤
You’re a good man Lester! I’d head out and do the same thing. Ask, be civil and respectful. Can you imagine how many people give them hell for being on their property? Just doing their jobs and restoring power. I stopped a guy two days ago on my property. I have an easement for power, cable, phone AND water on my property. I had to down a tree that all of that was surrounding a few years ago. It pays to be kind
Mystery weed looks like a trumpet vine. Great for butterflies and humming birds. They spread by runners under the ground. My late husband and i planted one in the yard when we got married. I'll find little shoots like that up to 100ft away from it if i get lazy mowing. the other plant you showed with the big bunny ear levees looks like milkweed. monarch butterflies use these to lay eggs and the caterpillars eat for food. Milkweed is toxic and can definitely cause the issues you described.
You can get an app on your phone that you take a picture of a plant and it will identify it for you. Amazing. It might come in handy for identifying weeds in the pastures or in the pond.
That's a Trumpet plant/vine. Native. Aka, hummingbird trumpet vine. Generally not reactive to your skin. I HAVE seen poison ivy/oak on both of your properties.
That weed isn't thistle Lester. Thistle is pokey & stickery. But that 3 leafed plant could be poison ivy. "Leaves of 3, leave it be" FYI...goats love it! Would DD be able to get to Rita? She'd have to lay down like an alpaca 😂😂😂
Definitely not thistle because thistle has big thorns that hurt like hell to touch. I have to pull them out by hand from my flower beds. I live out in the country. The other plant I couldn’t tell you what it is. We get get poison oak here not ivy.
lol. Brian probably thought uh oh when he saw you come racing across the pasture. We will make an exception for responsible electric company workers 😉🥰 I hope the power gets restored soon to you all.
Im loving the music lately🎹🎶🎶 Im glad that the power company is working hard to fix things. Hopefully they can fix the power at ISS and Morrow hill soon.🙏
It’s so funny because of watching you and see how well you take care of your animals. I find myself looking at the animals around my area and I’m like, wow those cows look to thin lol
Lester, with all the weeds and volunteer Tallow trees back there, you might want to ask Richardson Ag if they have an animal & people safe weed killer and if so, if they could hook you up with a large quantity and some kind of way to disperse it in bulk like you grass seed the pastures in bulk. I know it wouldn't be the same method as used in dispersing grass seed, but, there may be a way to treat large sections of land at one time so you wouldn't have to walk all of your property individually treating each weed. Also, I'd wear your long sleeve blue shirt that wicks sweat away when you mow again and wear long pants. You might also consider wearing a mask, not an N95, but like a lighter and less bulky surgical mask when you mow. You could try wearing one of your Ima Survivor masks to see if that would work, if that is lighter to wear in the heat. I have asthma and bad allergies in the spring, summer, and fall and so whenever I used to take my dog for walks, I would have to wear a mask or I'd start into a really bad asthma attack and have bad asthma attacks later on in the day and evening too. I know having to wear long pants and a mask would be extra hot on a hot day, but, maybe you can find a very lightweight style of pants to wear that is 100% cotton or a moisture wicking pant made with material like in your baby blue shirt (the one that looks so good with your eyes. lol)
Lester I'm like you. I see someone where they shouldn't be I'm over there in a minute to find out who they are and what they're doing. My boss says I'm crazy. But when I'm out by myself working on a project they better let me know who's going to be on that property that I should know about. Hope you get power soon.
It’s nice to see workers, be diligent and closing and locking gates behind them. That’s the most important thing of all. And I’m glad that you got a chance to meet him and now he can tell everybody about you and they can show you your respect.
@barbaracarol485 along with many other weeds. I also told him not to mow it in the comments months ago. However, with that much land, how can you pry every weed out?
I find the way your so friendly to everyone endearing. I have a sister that has never met a stranger. She will talk to anyone. My mother-in-law was the same way. ..I am to shy, I have to get to know someone first. I am friendly, smile at everyone but most have to talk to me first....😊❤😊
My brother in-law and I went to a junk store today and I started talking with an older gentleman that found a soft pair of fluffy purple socks. He said they would feel good on his feet. I have one of those faces, people talk to me all the time. I can start a conversation with strangers too. Most of the time it is in line waiting to pay. Not this time, we walked to the men's clothing and the kind man was there looking too. He must have been from NY and very Italian.
lester the first plant is poison ivy, if it's leaves of three, let it be, thats the golden rule to remember poision ivy and poison oak.!! Love y'all from Cooleemee north Carolina
Lester, the first plant you showed in the pasture my plant app called Picture This, identified as Peppervine, also known as Cow itch vine and produces purple Grape-like berries that taste peppery hot. The second plant is called Green Milkweed, which is a host plant of monarch butterflies, which lay their eggs on the plane’s leaves. I’m glad you were there to greet Mr Brian from the utility company. And, you just made his day!😂
Always love arriving with you to the JL RANCH. Ask Bri if it’s pig weed. Good job for Lex and Little Chris to pull weeds lol. It would be disconcerting to see someone driving thru your pasture Bryan seems like a good guy
I'm a very private person when it comes to my property, but even I wouldn't have an issue with someone there in an official capacity. I mean how could anyone be upset at someone who's coming to help them by restoring power to their property?! I will never understand people. This is why I surround myself with animals
Had me worried seeing that guy drive across the pasture, thank goodness he was from power company.I thought it was someone taking a joy ride thinking the ranch is not lived on. Never a dull moment,he seemed a nice fella, and in Lester fashion you let him love on the longhorns.Bet that’s something to tell the Mrs when he goes home 😁.
LESTER, VERY CREATIVE 👍 VIDEO! Interesting, fun, funny, mysterious, & so sweet ❤ please give all your babies a kiss from Auntie Maggie. & my LOVE "Bear" sends Love to his Mama ... "Christmas" ❤❤🐕🐕💕💕! Love ya'll!
An absolutely beautiful day ❤ after the Hurricane. And Brian the power guy is sweet. I was watching LE's live a little bit ago, and hopefully 🤞🙏by sometime on Sunday the Sanctuary should have power back. I will definitely be 🙏 that they do. Hopefully the cleanup is going well. Every video with you is funner and gooder 😊! Take care, stay cool 😎& have a gr-8 day 😊!
Hi Lester, I know you had to be worried at first & I was hoping it was the mini donkeys owner.. 😂 oh well everything turned out good.. You might want to wear long sleeves like your brother Dan when mowing we know Pawpaw doesn’t share well..😊
Asclepias viridis That plant is in the milkweed family. They attract Monarch butterflies. Maybe you can dig one up and plant it in Jami's flower gardens. I like Monarch butterflies
Lester those would be weeds and yes I totally understand your allergies my son is literally allergic to everything but unfortunately those are just weeds and not the good kind❤😂😂😂
There’s never a dull moment when animals are involved. Sadie is amazing with the way she stays around the Longhorns and protects them if needed. She loves her breaks from her duties when she gets in the camper and spends time with you and Jami.
I'm soooooo happy Lester didn't listen to the P-PATS who were giving him trouble when he was thinking of moving her there! I hoped he would do it and he did! Sadie seems so much more at peace and happier at J&L
300 years from now people will be unearthing artefacts called white crocs 😂😂
😂
Hilarious !
@sandragrant2771 Oh Sandra, this is HYSTERICAL!!! 💙😂💙😂💙😂
😂😂😂😂
😂
How nice for him to be able to Luv on Sweet Dani!!..Perks of working around livestock 💯👍
Lester, my app says it’s pepper vine. Also known as cow itch, or Buckvine
I love how Sadie runs to meet you!
Brian has a scary job in TX. It's like the wild west there, if someone sets foot on your land uninvited. It's almost as bad as FL 😮
He got to live my dream petting dani& ruby oh Sadie just melts my heart she is so dedicated to her job, best place & decision brining her there& i am sure the cows need her just as much as she needs them stay safe ✌️🐮🐾
I love Sadie so much ❤
You know Lester means business when the RPMs reach 7!! 😂
Hopefully JL will also be safe in the future! People need to ask permission to go on anyone's property, wherever!
I can't believe no babies yet!! (:
Lester that plant is called Pepper vine, it’s also called Cow Itch.
The one plant looms like poison ivy. I'll bet Brian enjoyed loving on Dani & Ruby.
Glad all is good
Hi to Hello Lester 👋🏽
1. Poison sumac, 2. Milk weed, salt water remedy 1 part salt, 5 parts water mix in a small cup apply with a cotton ball for itch rashes.
Lester your are so much like my son he is a people person to and he would react the same way as you did. He would find out who that was and then have a great conversation with him😂
Lester you need to get a plant identification app.
CROC-NADO!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣
Looks like a worker of sone kind
Me too lol
Google recognizes the plant as Angelica sylvestris or wild angelica or Ceratocapnos claviculata, the climbing corydalis
Brian took his chances not contacting you first before he trespassed onto your property. Doesn’t he know that country folk carry rifles just for this sort of occasion! Lol😅🤐❤
Might be suemac poison and poison ivy and poison oak. It's all in that land. Might have to take benadryl after mowing.
❤❤❤
Probably don't want to run off the lineman. They have a lot of "power" and your best friend in a outage.
My husband can talk anyones ear right off their head.
That plant you called thistle looks like poison sumac. THISTLE looks more like a prickly dandelion plant
There is an ap you can put on your phone and it identifies plants
What is that structure infront of the bull pen, looks boxy?
Get the app that identifies plants. I forget what it's called.
A screen shot and google picture lookup also works for common plants, including invasive weeds. I move to plant apps if google can't figure it out.
That donkey should be renamed - Diablo 😱🥶🤣👏
Dinky Darrell is such an ASS! lol You crack me up! He is super cute though. That's probably why he gets away with so much.
The one with the flowers, that you think is thistle, isn’t thistle, it looks like mullein, not thistle. Thistle is way more prickly…..
JAMI AND LESTER - PLEASE READ MY COMMENT.
J & L Ranch is such a blessing! Amen!!!
Amen
Amen!
That was so sweet of you introducing Brian to Dani and Ruby. 🥰
Prince Willy-Joe is such a beautiful boy. ❤
We have pipeline guys on our property without notice. It is disconcerting when it happens.
My God Lester, you scared the BEJEEBERS out of me! Glad to see they are working on the power lines!
So thankful for those linemen.
❤️❤️❤️
You’re a good man Lester! I’d head out and do the same thing. Ask, be civil and respectful. Can you imagine how many people give them hell for being on their property? Don’t you mean DD was acting like a total 'mini ass'. 😂
I bet he was scared.
My husband calls them half ass😂
@@danielletrainum4924😅😂😅😂
Taking Sadie to J❤️L was the BEST DECISION EVER!!! Good for her and the Longhorns!
Mystery weed looks like a trumpet vine. Great for butterflies and humming birds. They spread by runners under the ground. My late husband and i planted one in the yard when we got married. Such a pleasure to watch something wonderful and get my mind off "stuff"....
You can get an app on your phone that you take a picture of a plant and it will identify it for you. Amazing. It might come in handy for identifying weeds in the pastures or in the pond.
The app "Seek" by i-Naturalist. It has a green leaf design
👍🏼I just came across that on my iPhone
My brother has an app that identifies birds from their yells and chirping.
That's a Trumpet plant/vine. Native. Aka, hummingbird trumpet vine. Generally not reactive to your skin. I HAVE seen poison ivy/oak on both of your properties.

That was not poison ivy, it had more leaves than 3
that one next to the first plant was thistle
Definitely not thistle because thistle has big thorns that hurt like hell to touch. I have to pull them out by hand from my flower beds. I live out in the country. The other plant I couldn’t tell you what it is. We get get poison oak here not ivy.
lol. Brian probably thought uh oh when he saw you come racing across the pasture. We will make an exception for responsible electric company workers 😉🥰 I hope the power gets restored soon to you all.
You are an good man Lester, All the animals are looking great. 😊❤
I am watching you from Ireland, I love your videos especially video clips of the Longhorns and the dogs and horses.
Im loving the music lately🎹🎶🎶
Im glad that the power company is working hard to fix things. Hopefully they can fix the power at ISS and Morrow hill soon.🙏
Peppervine (Ampelopsis arborea) cow itch vine
Never heard of it but sure makes sense with what he described with the rash and itching. Hope he sees your comment.
Hey look at it this way Lester- at least they are working the power restoration issue. :D
It’s so funny because of watching you and see how well you take care of your animals. I find myself looking at the animals around my area and I’m like, wow those cows look to thin lol
It's to your advantage to let the power company have access to fix the lines.
I’m glad all the animals are ok. Storms like that can injure animals with flying debris. Mother Nature is sure have big tantrums down your way.
Lester, with all the weeds and volunteer Tallow trees back there, you might want to ask Richardson Ag if they have an animal & people safe weed killer and if so, if they could hook you up with a large quantity and some kind of way to disperse it in bulk like you grass seed the pastures in bulk. Even a bandana worn like an outlaw over your nose may help keep the pollen and dirt out. What I always used in the hayfield.
Glad the power company is at J❤️L.
It’s always funner and gooder when anyone gets to give Lester a squirrel moment, and he ends up making a new friend.😂❤
Lester I'm like you. I see someone where they shouldn't be I'm over there in a minute to find out who they are and what they're doing. My boss says I'm crazy. But when I'm out by myself working on a project they better let me know who's going to be on that property that I should know about. Hope you get power soon.
All's well that ends well Lester! He seemed nice hope they get the job done quickly and you get the power back!
PawPaw said don't mow the thistle, it will spread
What lester showed (2 plants) neither looked like thistles
What Lester showed is not thistle.
It’s nice to see workers, be diligent and closing and locking gates behind them. That’s the most important thing of all. And I’m glad that you got a chance to meet him and now he can tell everybody about you and they can show you your respect.

I really love Dani & Ruby. 💜💙🩵I'm glad they'll never be bought, sold or separated. 💓💗💖💝
lester the first plant is poison ivy, if it's leaves of three, let it be, thats the golden rule to remember poision ivy and poison oak.!! Love y'all from Cooleemee north Carolina
The plant with bloom is milkweed. It doesn't have anything that would give you a rash. I grow alot of it for my butterfly garden. 🦋
Me too!
Happy Thursday maybe that means you will get your power back soon.
Lester, the first plant you showed in the pasture my plant app called Picture This, identified as Peppervine, also known as Cow itch vine and produces purple Grape-like berries that taste peppery hot. The flowering plant is green milkweed. Very essential to the monarch butterfly.
I’ll bet you’ll be happy to see Jamie!❤❤
Coming to you from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦
Always love arriving with you to the JL RANCH. Ask Bri if it’s pig weed. Good job for Lex and Little Chris to pull weeds lol. It would be disconcerting to see someone driving thru your pasture Bryan seems like a good guy

oh boy, i sure hope dinky daryl didnt do a no-no, Jami would be soooooo upset. And whew, glad the trespasser was all ok, that was scary.
“Leaves of three let it be.” Maybe Poison Ivy or Poison Oak?
Had me worried seeing that guy drive across the pasture, thank goodness he was from power company.I thought it was someone taking a joy ride thinking the ranch is not lived on. That Guy... Interesting words...
Great video l came right over after gifts and goodies! Glad to see your electric being fixed!😂❤
You've either poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac
LESTER, VERY CREATIVE 👍 VIDEO! Interesting, fun, funny, mysterious, & so sweet ❤ please give all your babies a kiss from Auntie Maggie. & my LOVE "Bear" sends Love to his Mama ... "Christmas" ❤❤🐕🐕💕💕! Love ya'll!
Would love to see pictures of Bear.
that was nice lester letting him pet the babies
We use a spray from our elevator that kills the weeds each year. We just use our sprayer behind the 4wheeler!
Yep! Yell at it Lester! That'll make it start! lolol (I do that too)
I wish people would watch the whole video before making stupid comments!
Lol, thanks for the giggle, I needed that today.
Hi Lester, I know you had to be worried at first & I was hoping it was the mini donkeys owner.. 😂 oh well everything turned out good.. You might want to wear long sleeves like your brother Dan when mowing we know Pawpaw doesn’t share well..😊
Happy Thursday LHL! 😊
Hope they get your power up and running.
Asclepias viridis
That plant is in the milkweed family.
They attract Monarch butterflies. Maybe you can dig one up and plant it in Jami's flower gardens. I like Monarch butterflies
It looks like a multi flower rose bush if I remember right. And it will spread
I love Dinky Daryl!!! He's lonely!!
Lester those would be weeds and yes I totally understand your allergies my son is literally allergic to everything but unfortunately those are just weeds and not the good kind❤😂😂😂
Lester, that's poison ivy.
It looks like wild roses
Yes I thought so
There’s never a dull moment when animals are involved. Sadie is amazing with the way she stays around the Longhorns and protects them if needed. She loves her breaks from her duties when she gets in the camper and spends time with you and Jami.
