Deep breath is advised more than short frequent breath..its for people with low pulling capacity..so slow and long inhalation is needed

You should hold your breath for a minimum of six seconds, preferably 10 seconds unless patient is extremely dyspneic to hold breath or unable to follow instruction. This allows drug to settle down in your Respiratory tract.
