Hi Davies Media Design! Please help! When cutting out a section of a photo, I can't get a transparent background. If I add an Alpha channel, when editing a photo in Gimp, it does appear to be transparent, but when exporting, the background color shows up. Any ideas? When I first downloaded Gimp, that transparent background came with it, but something happened. I'd like to get that original transparent background as the default? How to have my background as transparent in the default?

Try it using Filter Effects. Tons of Effects there.
