Went to see muse last year for 4th time at their will of the people tour live at the Rome olympic stadium was my 2nd show they a stadium band which is a dying breed need more of them if you get a chance beg borrow or steal a ticket never be disappointed best live shows I need go again played hysteria at my daughters birth took her to her first muse concert at age of 16 we still bond to this song now
You are totally right. This song is Queen adoration to the fullest. I also hear U2 in it. In the studio version his voice is stacked in layers for more harmony just like Freddie Mercury.
This song has a special place in my heart. I saw them on the tour in Prague (hello from Czech Republic), which was in arena. Unlike this video, which is in stadium, in arena they had a pyramid in center of the stage, (Google Muse Stockholme Syndrome Live Las Vegas - Rome DVD Extra to see it) with video panels around the stage and on the pyramid, with great lightning and lasers setup - I can't understand how they didn't win best stage that year, they lost to Coldplay... Anyway, song before Madness, smoke started coming from ducts or pipes. I was sitting opposite stage, on the other side of arena. When they started the song, it was pretty misty, and suddenly lasers. All above me - it's 14 000 seat hockey arena, and above were lasers synchronized to music, opening from simple lines to full fans. Matt was kinda flirting with camera in the mean time. Then in the second verse, where a guitar starts playing the bass line too, laser lines started to "hop" from right to left on each note. It's hard to describe how 11 (I think) laser lines one after another, from right to left, positioned horizontally in circle behind the stage, pointing to a focal point above us, together with all the other fan lasers and lightning, it's hard to describe how it looked. Then the solo intermission and finishing chorus started - it's not that evident from a video, but before the solo and chorus, you hear bass with the "ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma", vocals, simple drums, then the guitar starts playing the bass line, then intermission with solo - and from those "simple distinctive" instruments suddenly it's to full, dense, solid sound coming and enveloping you, together with the lighting and lasers and when Matt sings "I need your love", I felt sadness. He also sang it both times in lower vocal register, only going on the second "love" to falsetto, which he doesn't do very often, and it really makes it more sad. It's just a stupid lightning and lasers all above, but together combined with the sound mixing and musicmanship and singing it made experiencing the song mesmerising... Video sadly can't express that.
Hi from Lancashire (England). Love your reactions, i think the next Muse song should be Micro Cuts live. The earlier version is the best. Keep up the good work.
Okay, so you have these grandparents scratching our heads. We did a Google search of your words, and we think you are saying Ricky looks like Ed Kelce??? If so, that is hilarious. If not, then maybe this is just "madness". LOL.

Thank you for the kind words and for this suggestion. We have added it to our list.
Nice! Maybe their song Citizen Erased (Hullabaloo live version)
Thank you for this suggestion. We have added it to our list.
G'Day from Western Australia. I think you might like Radiohead. Maybe the song "Nude" Live from the Basement might be a nice start. Thanks.
Thank you for for this suggestion. We have added it to our list.
Bass, not guitar :P
Thank you for the correction. I guess I have wrongly said "bass guitar" all my life, so I can't guarantee you won't hear me say it again. LOL
I am not your father your mother has been lying? I think his name was Travis and my is Kelce
