  • Part 1:
    • The Law Of Attraction ...
Just to clarify, I'm not saying you should never incorporate exercises like visualization (where you imagine your desire & get in touch with the feelings), scripting & gratitude journaling. But it is better to approach them as 'Supplements' to attract your desire to you as opposed to the main means to an end.
That's where I think most people into LOA/manifestation go wrong is they focus mainly on the techniques but not the internal process (such as character development & learning certain crucial lessons) and the outer work that may need to be put into place.
They think that if they want something, they should just have it right away & it's only their limiting beliefs in the way (as opposed to other potential reasons). I'm speaking from personal experience 😅. And sometimes they do get what they think they want through these seemingly magical practices, but if they do so from an lower ego space, then it's not pure.
Another thing I would add is to learn to discern your intuition as part of your spiritual development process. To be able to follow the nudges to help lead you to your desires. But to do so in a way where you are also sensitive to the season you are in, which requires self-awareness. Just observations from my own experiences. ✨️

Insightful video as always! How did you go from believing God is consciousness to God is spirit?

Hi, thank you for your question.
Firstly, I'll clarify what I mean by universal consciousness since everyone has a slightly different definition. When I believed God was just the Universe/a universal consciousness, I sensed there was such a thing as a higher intelligence, yet it seemed largely impersonal and somewhat detached from our moral choices in life. I also thought there was no Ultimate Creator above humans because we are gods. (The thing is, we do have a divine essence inside of us, but this is different from being THE God.)
When I discovered the YT channel Off The Left Eye, which explores spiritual topics through the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg, I started to consider that God is Spirit. Swedenborg expounds upon the fallacy of seeing God like a cosmos in the book True Christianity and his reasoning seemed rational to me.
I also believe the desire to be moral is not necessarily motivated by religious guilt alone. For some, it is a desire to be more like God (whose nature is holy). And one does develop in wisdom when one pursues a morally principled life with selfless motives. An impersonal, amoral Universe does not have a character/nature that is definable like Spirit. People may acknowledge universal spiritual laws and not God, but they do not ponder where the reasoning behind these laws come from. The reasoning behind them is from a divine source (God).
Swedenborg says the nature of God is Divine Love and Wisdom. If God is just the Universe, then there would be no fixed source for these moral laws. In other words, it doesn't make sense to believe that spiritual laws are just built into the inner mechanism of "God as the Universe" since this type of God "just is" and has no view of right and wrong.
When it comes to God as Spirit, I don't think it's an old man with a white beard and robe like God is often personified. I am inclined to think God does not have a human form, but this is not because God is just "energy." Rather, it's because God's nature is omnipresent.

@@EstherEzer Thanks for elaborating. Now I want to read that Swedenborg book. I read a book by David Bentley Hart called The Experience of God in which he says the concept of a personal God in human form is more of a modern development and that early Christians' view of God more resembled yours. I am still in a searching phase myself, but you always give me a lot to think about in your videos.
If you're ever searching for a subject for a video I think people might find your thoughts here interesting or helpful.

Thank you for the book suggestion. I am glad to hear my videos can give you things to contemplate about.
