Dragon Soul Infinity Edition (Dragon Ball Z Kai Theme Fan-edit)

A Fan-made edit of the English version of "Dragon Soul" by Takayoshi Tanimoto, the opening theme of Dragon Ball Kai. This edit is unique in that it features the vocals of all six English singers: Vic Mignogna, Brina Palencia, Sean Schemmel, Greg Ayres, Justin Cook and Sonny Strait.
Background:
Okay so it has been a while (again) guys, but I am finally back from my hiatus (sort of). Apologies for such a long absence but the last few months have been quite rough as a lot of bad luck has come my way, though thankfully it seems to be nearing its end. You may notice that for the first time in about a year I am not uploading a rip, I am instead uploading some old audio that was just gathering dust on my pc. I figured that in between all of these long breaks I might as well upload some stuff that you might like relating to Dragon Ball, even if they are not necessarily new rips. Before I became known for ripping tracks, this was pretty much all that I did. This does not mean that I won't be doing more rips in the future though I'm just trying to diversify my content.
Now the story of this track in particular is rather complicated. I actually uploaded an AMV of this a little over a year ago with visuals from Kai and DBS but it got taken down by Toei, so I hope that the song on its own with a still image gets past the copyright. This was inspired by a famous edit of this song made by RasenKamehameha many years ago called Dragon Soul Ultimate Edition, which you find if you search for it on UA-cam. When I was a kid I used to love that video since believe it or not I was actually introduced to Dragon Ball through watching Kai, so to hear the opening theme with multiple singers was amazing. Now older, I decided to see if could recreate it in a better quality with CD and Blu-ray audio. The title is of course a homage to the original video, and 'infinity' is meant to represent the remastered aspect of my attempt (You can't beat lossless audio 😅).
The instrumental that I used is mainly due to the work of Yugidmx5, who was able to remove the back vocals from the Japanese Karaoke version. It was then a matter of getting the English vocals. Using the Blu-ray version of Kai, I was able to rip all of the variations of Dragon Soul that appear throughout episodes 1-98 of the Funimation dub of Kai. I then extracted the vocals from the music using online vocal removers, and then synced each voice up with the aforementioned instrumental. I tried to give each voice actor the same lines that they had in RasenKamehameha's video wherever I could since they were familiar and worked well. However, one notable difference is the inclusion of Justin Cook, whose dialogue was not featured in the Ultimate Edition. Also, the line "Nothing ever dies we will rise again" features all six vocals, an edit that was inspired by a since deleted video (I don't remember what it was called) from a few years ago. The final "SOUL" at the very end was made by using the change tempo feature in Audacity to extend each singer's vocals.
If you look down below you will see a link to an 'alternate' version of this track and if you give it a listen you may notice that the singers change during the main chorus between the two channels. This is just a neat little edit that I made that some of you might like. Underneath it is a section detailing who you can hear in each ear. I've also provided a link to download the video that got deleted a year ago if you want to listen to the song with some footage from the show. The final act gets a little flashy so be careful if you are affected by epilepsy. Hope you all enjoy!
