Great hilight package CFL, you guys are doing terrific with keeping the voiceover going with replays happening, my favorite 10 minutes of football. Go Lions!
That was a hell of a game. Both teams' offense showed spectacular throws and catches. The defenses came up big when they needed to. Unfortunately for the Elks, a missed field goal and a fumble at the very end of the game sealed their fate. I hope that next year they can start playing well at the beginning of the season. For the Rough Riders, I hope they can continue to play well for the rest of this season and the playoffs. Go, Saskatchewan!! 🇨🇦
Elks' untimely penalties were also a major factor. Although I think that last DPI wasn't their fault - it sure looked like that 2nd-and-long play was intentionally drawn up that way. I mean, how often do 2 receivers rub 20 yds deep? - it was like watching the Snowbirds airshow.
@timapple6586 I used to think that football refs were pretty good at making correct calls, but recently, they seem to be making more mistakes, bad calls, or missed calls. I think I watch football differently than in my very early years. 🇨🇦
Entertaining game. Edmonton is "close." They may be a team to make a statement next year. Should be a great game between Saskatchewan & BC next week - home field is on the line!
Some thoughts I have after this one: -Saskatchewan clearly has the pieces of the puzzle to win a Grey Cup this season, it's just a matter of putting them together correctly -Sterns needs to stay in the Riders lineup to help with kickoffs, he had a couple good returns in this one -Jarious Jackson needs to get the boot -Edmonton has the talent, they're just a head coach & defensive coordinator away from being contenders, this offseason will be very important for them
The pick near the end of the first half was the back breaker. 6 point swing means the Elks are still alive. Edmonton is better than their record suggests, but they have to work on basics
Unlike the past 2 seasons Sask’ seems to be gaining momentum at the right time for a playoff push, & next weeks game against BC will decide who finished 2nd. I’m not sure what to make of Edmonton. They basically had a carbon copy of last season, (shit start, then a hot streak for a glimmer of hope then back to losing) & I don’t see them as being “close” to the good teams out west.
I'm still wondering what Jackson's 'unchallengeable challenge' was. That late-game DPI against Edm was bogus: sure there was significant simultaneous contact between FOUR players, and a receiver & 2 DB's fell down - but it was obviously a design 'pick play' (illegal), and in fact, both receivers were actually in contact while trying to 'rub' the pursuit. Should've been OPI if anything. The non-call ruling on the field was probably the best that could be expected. But it was overturned, maybe because the CC can't rule on OPI if the Coach's Challenge was specifically for DPI, and they could hardly rule that contact didn't affect the outcome. Congrats to Maice for exploiting a loophole.
Went to the game in Calgary and knocked them out of the playoffs. Then Knocked Edmonton out of playoffs. I’m a Rider fan living in Alberta. 💚💚💚💚Lets go Riders!!
Here's my latest prediction next week's Saskatchewan will loose British Columbia but will beat them in the playoffs go Riders unfortunately nobody can beat Winnipeg in the west I don't think
Again the command centre overeacted and determined the winner by their obsessive control freak attitude of overturning calls on the field on a dubious play in the end zone where players accidently collided.
With this coaching staff they will only get worse, jones put a good bunch together, old useless Rick Leclure pressed the panic button, takes 2/2-3 years to build a contender they were getting close. Jones has built a good defence where ever he went, and Hamilton will only get better.

Thanks for the highlights; go CFL go.
What a game, Love the CFL.

Exciting highlights but a tough way for Edmonton to get knocked out. Big props to the Rider Defence for coming up with the big plays.
great game !
Massive win for Riders
Enjoy watching Saskatchewan win.

Hold your heads high, Elk fans...going from 0-5 to 5-11 was quite the turnaround.

Overall, I was happily surprised by the accuracy of the reffing and the CC. Pretty rare for me.

😂🤣😂🤣 What a brutal football team these Elks are! Not the city of champions anymore, more like the city of chumps 😂😂
lol yeah those Gretzky days are along time ago now
