- I went out to explore the Crazy streets of Cairo, Egypt! I met some lovely people who wanted to chat and take photos with me... and some people who were not so stoked I was filming.
Welcome to my Egypt series. Egypt was never a country I really wanted to go to. But I'm waiting on a visa and I thought I may as well check it out. I didn't have high hopes coming to Egypt. I've seen many creators try and come here and make videos and have gotten hassled for filming by police and citizens. Well ,screw it I said. I don't talk with no police anyways. So I made it my goal to tick as many people off with my camera as I possibly couple (JK). I set off to the centre of Cairo to check out the local market. It was hectic, busy and loud... I loved it! People were very stoked to see me. I couldn't have great conversations because of the language barrier but it was still nice to see so many welcoming, happy faces and take some selfies. Egypt has already passed my expectations (mostly cause they were pretty low). I'm very stoked to see what this country has to offer!

Alot of scammers in egypt will approach you saying “hey you ! You look Egyptian” so its an inside joke to people who’ve gone to egypt to say “hey you look Egyptian” ! As this is what you hear when you walk around the streets of cairo as a tourist lmao

I absolutely love your videos. I spend literally HOURS a day watching them (seriously) it just kills me watching ppl take such advantage of u. The more they see nice ppl like u let them slide, it motivates them 10x more to do it to the next person 😩

Hi Seal.I was watching your video and i would like to advise you to negotiate well because most of salesmen gave you high prices.It's common for all new people there especially foreigners
as an egyption i confirm egypt has great vibes but you got scammed on the fridge magnets and some other stuff
and unsless that jersey was real u also got scammed there
Brother i have been in Egypt many times, and I can tell you that the fridge magnet is less then 20egp each. And the necklace is not more than 100egp. and the football shirt isn’t more than 200egp😂. Remember that when they see you they overprice everything because you look European and American to them😅

Sadly egyptians don't have the culture of welcoming tourists. However, Egypt is beautiful in many ways. Some egyptians are highly educated and friendly, but its hard to find them these days.

I'm glad you did, as you should actually be welcomed properly.
However, the education level in Egypt is very low these days. And sadly people try to scam foreigners for money, not knowing how internationally it will impact our tourism and image.
All they care about is now and money.
They don't care sometimes about creating a good impact.
I'm actually an Egyptian, and i would love someday for people to love coming to Egypt without worrying about getting scammed or bullied for their money.
Egypt was not like that, and hopefully it will return as good as before.
People just need more education and awareness and mostly, respect to themselves and values. And respect for others no matter what or where they came from.
For example, nobody will ever try to scam u in uae, dubai, or Saudi Arabia. Or many other Middle Eastern countries.
However, i loved india so much as well, but people tried to scam me there, especially in Hyderabad.
The key to not be scammed.
Always have with you a trusted local friend.
Otherwise, if you don't have friends from that country. Try to have a trusted tour guide.

The thing with travelling to Egypt is that it's okay for men but not so welcoming for women. Sad but true. Have you noticed that no females say hello to Seal? It's because they are not allowed to speak to men outside of their families.
I hope that the officials realize that the English language has become important for people to have a degree of understanding in dealing with foreigners, so that we can give them correct ideas about Egypt, about Egyptians, about Arabs, and about Islam.

Not really but there were not many in the streets.
When I was in Egypt I bought a Swedish soccer jersey and a Hard Rock Cafe Cairo T-shirt.
I did not see a single tourist in this whole journey on the street! A bottle of water 30 Egyptian pounds? It's because you're a tourist, everywhere like that they sell to tourists at high prices! They see the permits as a bill of money, that's how it is all over the world

You was so scammed haha. I was in cairo for 4 months and learned me fast how people works. Be to forwards and loudy can be dangerious. Egyptian is amazing people when we adapt to dress islamic and hide that we are not from there. I lived and traveled there as woman and everythign went smooth cause i showed respect to the culture which many dosen't. But advise everyone who haven't been in Egypt to not visit pyramids. It's nothing special at all actually. It's full of scammers that following you so you need a bodyguard. Just horrific. I loved the street food and never got sick until my last day when i eat in a new fancy fast food restuarant and went very sick for weeks after i came home. Don't be afraid to eat street food cause they fry it front of you so you wont get sick.

I grew up in NY, you need to be alot more guarded. One child tried to pick pocket you, the guy riding his bike waving the camera in your face was trying to steal your camera, and the lemonade was probably a dollar. My advice as someone who travels, it's free.
