Wow, let me tell you a little story. My name is Nina, and I am 58 years old. My mom was born and raised in Larvik and was baptized in the Larvik church as you can see at your film. I was born and lived all my life in Oslo, but throughout my childhood I spent every summer in Larvik with my grandmother who lived in the area where Lysko Gjestegård is located. I've seen this building many times, but I've always thought it was a private building. Then I see your great movie where you live at Lysko, and I am so surprised that within 5 minutes I decide to go to Larvik this weekend and have booked in with Lysko guest house for one night ..... just because you made me know that this house has become a hotel. Imagine, a girl from Portugal shows me the opportunity in the city I know so well (or thought I knew). By the way, I have to give you credit for very good Norwegian pronunciation ... you are good. Thank you :-)
Oh wow!! That is so nice to hear! There are so many incredible places right under our nose that we never heard about. That is also why I love to watch these types of videos. I'm so glad my video made you discover this hotel and hope you have an amazing stay there! :)
Norway looks fantastic. I just finished reading "The Fisher Maiden" by Bjornson. At least the book made me imagine great places, but I couldn't find the movie Det storste i verden anywhere on the internet, which is based on it, so that I could see the picture of the places. Nice channel!
Nice video, not far from where i live. (Porsgrunn) :) Never heard of Lysko Gjestegard. But i have been to Bøkeskogen and Mølen(beach with round rocks). Beautiful.
Your videos have such happy vibes, thank you for the positivity! Also, got admitted to NTNU recently and watching your videos has helped a lot getting to know about Norway! Thank u Can't wait to be there and explore these beautiful places.
The fish is mackerel in English. Pretty much the same name as Norwegian I guess. I think the tree is called Beech, which is the same as in Norwegian too, except the k became ch in English.
There wasn't much footage from Mølen in the video, so I'm wondering how much you explored the area. I'm thinking perhaps you went from the parking place straight to the sea, and perhaps not much further? If you look at the map, there's a trail going through the bush landscape to the north end of the beach, where there's a sand beach going all the way around and into the bay, and the trail following along. The vegetation varies from low knee height bushes towards the outer beach to full height trees along the inner beach, and it's in no way just flat and boring as you might think from looking at the map. This landscape is stunningly beautiful, with several varying bird species occupying all the many different areas. It's a well known bird spotting location. If from the parking place you go towards the south, you'll pass some hills where birds of prey can often be seen. Today, end of May 2020, if you look north-west while high up near the parking place, you can see snow covered mountains far away in the distance. I've never seen anything like that before IRL, so was quite excited discovering that just the other day. Btw, I live in Larvik, not that far from the hotel, which I've never visited.
What a gorgeous and stunning place over there, i love your videos especially these kinda videos, norway is indeed a beautiful country, with really beautiful places, theyre just breathtaking places, thanks for swhowing us the norwegian culture greetings from texas USA 🇬🇹🇺🇸♥️🇧🇻Keep UP the good work, besos hasta noruega!!!!🤗🤗🤗
I'm Spanish and I find it amazing how I didn't get a single word of Portuguese, I actually thought for a second it was Norwegian, y sin embargo, si yo hablo en español, seguro que cualquier portugués me entiende hahaha PS: I loved the video! Such an amazing and charming place
I was planning to see a Stave Church when before my trip was interrupted by COVID 19 in March. Because I can read Swedish I am able to read enough Norwegian & Danish to understand what I’m reading! In Denmark I was able to read Danish only menus & not order something that I might be allergic to or have sensitivities to! The Danes couldn’t figure out how I did this because they weren’t able to read most Swedish, even when I explained it to them how I did it! Danes, especially the young want to practice their English & I don’t know Danish, I only understood what was similar to Swedish. Have you taken any side trips to Sweden or Denmark? Have you seen the inside of a Stave Church? As usual I love to hear you speak Portuguese & all your travels! In Washington state, in the US, there’s a small town called Poulsbo that was originally settled by Norwegians so the Main Street is a replica of a traditional Norwegian town! Washington State also has replicas of a traditional Dutch town called Lynden & one that is a replica of a traditional German town due the large influx of early immigrants from those countries!
Gostaria de perguntar se você pode fazer vídeos sobre os empregos na área de construção (arquitetos e eng. civis), contando como foi sua experiência em Oslo. Obrigado pelos vídeos! :)
You can enter in empty chamber ? It's very strange ! In hotel in general you can't go to other rooms , you don't know if people are inside or not . Is it normal where you are ? :)
Mon hola, we are planning to live in Oslo from August, so far after a month of research (finn.no) we can't find a house. Is it really difficult or we do something wrong. Can you share your experience? Gracias
Hi, Mon! Can you please give me a link with a norwegian cook vlogger? I am a chef, and I want to move to Norway next year, and I need to learn norwegian recipes, and I cant find many cooking books online. Thank you!
