@@henrimatisse7481 Old army trick, it's how they moved the transport trucks off the beaches when we launched D-Day. I utilize this method myself, of course the more aggressive the tread on ones tires, the greater the result they will achieve. Stay safe out there my friend.😁

My daughter took three hours to get home from her job only 17 miles away. She was one of the lucky ones; she drove slowly, stayed off side streets, and took the longer, flatter way home. Today I saw stories about people stranded in their cars for 12+ hours. That’s right in the middle of a busy metropolitan area.

Students study hard and you easily steal their ideas from their brains. Sounds like a good deal. Fighting for freedom. New slavery. It is my responsibility. I thought everyone should know. We are imprisoned in a place whose slogan was freedom. Don't travel to the USA. Never even for a short time. If you have any special knowledge or skills or an invention, they will steal it from your mind. The US government initially used this method to identify people who intended to harm the United States. But today, they use it for many purposes, including stealing information from people, stealing data from people's minds. And many celebrities like Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are helping to lure the US government. They can see whatever you see. You'll never have privacy even with your wife or girlfriend. They could see whatever you think. When Taylor Swift said I use my best colors for your portrait, she meant it. when she said, Touch me, and you'll never be alone. Or I can read you like a magazine. Your silence would help them to do it again and again. They said, don't say anything because of The USA. I want to take her to court. They wanted to pay me $1,000,000, but that was not amount what I asked from them. Those are not only songhe (Taylor Swift) likes A writer of crime stories whose stories are authentic and have committed all the murders. Taylor Adolf Hitler, the Humans, are not your laboratory mice. Sometimes what we hear are like warning lights to prevent accidents. Events that the causes of those events are not afraid of repeating them, but they are happy. Portlands DOT is absolutely worthless .. They had Seattle DOT train their snow plow drivers
the proper methods for maintaining the roads during conditions like this and yet they refuse to use the training which included the use of salt and sand .. In the Midwest this would not even be considered a school snow day .. The early maintenance by applying a salt sand mixture would have totally avoided this mess !!

My first year hear summer hit 104 and the rainy season started the first week in Sep. with lots of snow after Thanksgiving thru February. Downtown had moguls and everything was chained up. Then the freezing rain ice storms punctuated in between. Approximately every 7 years we get lots of snow or ice into February.

You have to have at least one set of snow tires preferably two sets on rims for fast install at home and with studs for the ice in this area if you must drive. Some years when over 6” falls, cable chains are needed.

Being near the ocean moderates the temperature up to a point. Usually. This has been a bit of a weird year with the weather out West. At least the drought out there is less of a problem because of all this snow and rain. Utah, California, Nevada, etc. were all in pretty dire circumstances with so many dry years.

I was born in Oregon, and I can vividly remember my father telling me that Oregonians had always been prepared for snow, with chain laws, and snow tires. I guess that Portlandians have come to think that they lived in Miami Beach, FL. With the amount of winter precipitation that they get, shame on them for not being prepared.

Around Christmas 2008, we had a foot of snow, 3/4" of freezing rain, another foot of snow on top of that, and then another 1/2" of freezing rain to top it off. This was only 16 miles east of Portland, near Boring, OR at 500 foot elevation. I think something is wrong with their record keeping. Only one plane landed at PDX on one of those days, if I remember right, Christmas Eve day, an international flight from Germany. I was on it, and a neighbor came and picked us up in his 4WD pickup that was chained up on all four wheels. It was gnarly.
