- In Orlando, Florida, Hurricane Ian brought fast-rising flood waters that devastated many people living in the community. Fire and rescue crews spent hours pulling residents from a senior living facility to safety. NBC News’ Blayne Alexander has more details on the record rainfall and the recovery efforts.

Hurricane Ian hit like an atom bomb
Consuming the helpless in it's path.
The waters of the deep surged forth
Flooding everything with it's wrath.
The best of the brave was seen by man
While rescue crews were helping others.
They risked their life and laid it on the line
To save our sisters and brothers.
May heaven show mercy upon the lost
Never to love, laugh, sing or cry
God bless every man, woman and child
Who before their time had to die.

God's plan
The silver lining in this disaster is that it further solidifies Gov DeSantis’ ability to lead the people of Florida, and soon all of America 🇺🇸
How?
Nope. We have a homeowners insurance catastrophe in recent years and with this hurricane it will get worse. He never cared to take care of this where premiums have risen $200-$500 per month while so many other companies have left the state. This hurricane will cripple the few insurance companies and DeSantis spends more time talking about immigrants than taking care of home owners.
