The island of Murter is located in northern Dalmatia (in Croatia) and is included in the "Sibenik - Primosten" / („Šibenik - Primošten") Riviera. It is separated from the continent by a narrow channel (which is 20 m in the narrowest place). In Tisno there is a drawbridge connecting the Island of Murter with the mainland. The island is about 12 kilometers long and 2 km wide, which makes it easy to explore. The island has the holiday resorts of Betina, Tisno, Jezera and Murter. There is a typical Mediterranean climate here. The island, in addition to several quiet resorts, offers tourists many picturesque beaches and clean water. It is covered with pine forests, fig trees and olive trees, among which you can find picturesque roads./
