When I perform a weldment simulation using SolidWorks, the program recognizes one of the elements as solid and the other elements as beams. However, it does not allow me to change the solid element to a beam. How can I resolve this problem? And thank you for making like this informative videos
I would need to know how to simulate beams (not surfaces) but use as connection line welds. Once I did it but now i can't figure out how to set it. I know I need to change beams to be solid parts but now it's not working...any ideas?
+Petr Šebesta Do you mean the 'treat as solid' option when setting your simulation? I think weldment checks can't be done without using sheet metals or shells parts...
Good to see simulation videos about real life structures - very practical, thank you !!!
