Beside the 3rd ppov, the way you move your mouse is very hitscanny. So beside looking around you focus in a lot on your target. Thats not bad as you need to do that for any hero that shoots. For those that swing you can relax your hand a little bit and just look with your eyes. But you need to focus in for packs. Also you can use your shield a bit better. Ash & Widow do really well behind a Brig shield on highground. When you rally your shield is huge, but your damage is only decent. So get inspire up and then shield of the enemy support like the Sigma shielded you from your Kiri. That takes away about 200 hp/sec instead of dealing additional 80 dps by swinging. As soon as your tank dies you can bash into the dps so your team can kill them as well. Brig is a hero that really shines when you enable someone to get a pick, or secure a kill on a oneshoot.
I'm a Brig that plays too far back because I struggle to find opportunities to get in without being blown up, this helped give me ideas on when and where its safe to get close. I FELT the bash on the full hp D.Va in my *bones*. My intrusive thoughts win a lot when it comes to bashing. I *really* appreciated you going back and making an argument for the high ground from your POV, that was really helpful. I know I'm supposed to keep high ground as Brig but I don't feel it, that POV explanation helped sell me on it.
Don't know if Shift would recommend this or not but when I'm playing Brig I'm consistently looking for squishies within my range that have taken damage that I can capitalize on. If I can pounce on them with a quick flail, bash, whipshot combo to guarantee the kill I'm on it. Just don't put yourself out of position to do it! Stay in position to retreat to hardcover or your tank if things get dicey.
I definitely can identify as a more passive brig than I would like to be. This video highlights the problems with that play style and what you said about going all in first and testing your limits is interesting advice.

All jokes aside, I've been away from overwatch for like 3 months and this vod review was so insightful and really refreshed my memory on how to play brig and CARRY. I'm about the same rank as this person too.
you should make a video about playing brig into ram, like clip some vods on a couple maps, or when you have a dive tank vs frontline tank. Especially on smaller maps like sanctum, it feels like there's no escaping him if your team is more interested in trading backlines.

It is still very relevant except for the rally part. There’s a separate rally guide for the new one!
