One of my fav things about my dad is his hands too. I’ll never forget when I was 7 years old, crossing the street with him, holding his scraped, dry, cut up, hardened hand. I remember feeling his arteries at the back of his palm and feeling his mortality. He wasn’t super man. He was human. But he tried to be super dad.
This is why Ariel will always be king. No prepared questions, just let the fighter speak and ask questions that keep the conversation moving. No one does it better and this was an amazing interview.
Chandler has looked good and dominant in all of his fights at 155. You can tell he needed time to adjust to the higher standard of the ufc.His first rematch will be really interesting to see. Just wish it wasnt 3 years fucking later.

Chandler has an ability to articulate the mindset needed to be an MMA fighter, something that many fighters can't do. Why did mike apologize to his wife @ 44:15 ? His wife caught him taking steroids or he cheated on her? Sounds like something heavy. He refuses to go into it but says one day it will come out 🤔🤔
Although I always thought that Chandler rehearses his talking points, and generally comes across as a used car salesman, I can respect that at least he continues to put himself in positions of opportunity. He talks about growth, but he is still unable and unwilling to watch his losing rounds or loses, and that may prove problematic. My personal opinion aside, and as someone who squandered many opportunities in my early life, I can appreciate what he is saying here overall. I hope he finds true success. From within himself, and be okay with the way things played out. Good Luck Saturday.
Absolutely amazing interview with Michael Chandler, Ariel! Your interviews with him have always been a treat over the years Ariel. Dude refers to himself in 3rd person multiple times. I agree, there’s something off with him. You cannot be that violent in the octagon without being a little nuts. It takes a crazy mf to kick someone in the face like he kicked Tony Ferguson
Respect this man so much for adopting two little boys. Takes a big heart. I got two boys of my own and they are my reason for being. My motivation. But I’m not as selfless as Chandler, I can’t imagine my connection with an adopted child the same way. Maybe one day I’ll adopt as well.
In the mind of someone with zero drive, zero ambition, lack of goals, lack of accomplishments, scared to be themselves.....then yes I absolutely agree ❤
What a great interview! Such a big fan of Michael Chandler. What a brilliant role model he is for our sport. More than an outstanding fighter, he is an outstanding human. Love his attitude and his honesty.
He puts in a lot of effort to be self-aware.. maybe too self-aware sometimes. That exercise can rob you the simple joy of just 'being' if you overdo it... I hope Mike truly lives the way he perceives his life to be. Goodluck to Chandler but I still think Do Bronx has a better chance at winning this matchup.
This is the over 30 years old card. Chandler is old and has not fought in a long time. He may get lucky, but he is not the skilled fighter that Du Bronx is. It should be exciting.

So sick of Chandler rank squatting and larping as the elite of 155 after beating the corpse of Ferguson and catching Hooker.
