I dont know how i didn’t see this build until tonight! You definitely have a soft spot for Porsche cars! The 959 is by far my most favorite Porsche! This car was so ahead of its time, in some respects i’d say 25 years ahead of its time! because there are things that this car has and does and no other car in its class could do! but i think this is my favorite build of all your porsche models! You did such an amazing job with the assembly, and the small details and the color choice is Incredible on this car Purple was the best choice! WOW MAN ! BRAVO BUILD! there is no limit to your imagination and Talents ! Great work Chris Klatter 😎
Thank you! 959s are indeed great cars! 😃I had a chance to sit in one that took part in the Pharaohs Rally in the 80s. You could really feel the amazing spirit of this great car. What I really like about this kit is the color and seat paint work. I was actually advised to go with purple via one of the polls I ran. I had some nice talks with a couple of people when I mentioned that I was building a 959. There is a magic about these models! The engine and engineering were incredible and far beyond their time. Thanks a lot for the positive feedback about my work. I hope you will find my other projects entertaining as well! 😀 By the way, have you seen the Porsche 911 GT3R hybrid one?

Cześć. Fajna ta półka z pudełkami modeli Porsche :) Niby prosty model 959 a jak efektownie Tobie wyszedł. Bardzo ładny, nieoczywisty kolor no i świetne wykonanie! Superb!
Dzięki za miły komentarz! :D 959 jest już 7 modelem jaki zrobiłem i chciałem też aby wyglądał troszkę inaczej, wiele jest czarnych albo srebrnych wersji to purpurowy metalik będzie czymś oryginalnym :D na półeczce czekają jeszcze GT3 oraz 996 :D sądzę, że w najbliższym czasie wezmę się za gt trójkę :)

To nic ! bedzie miał przyjemny klasyczny wygląd i na pewno przyjemnie spedzisz nas nim czas 😀 trzymam kciuki! zamierzasz dodać detale do twojej pracy, jak np. malowanie trzech pasków na fotelach albo flock? teraz tak myśle,że z tego zestawu można bardzo dużo wyciągnąc! jest swietny dla początkujących i profesjonalistow wizja 😄
@@AdHocCars Tak, zamierzam dać te paski na fotelach, tak jak Ty a z flockiem to jeszcze zobaczę. Kiedyś widziałem w internecie film z jakieś zagranicznej wystawy modelarskiej i tam ktoś pokazał białe 959 w cabrio. Też może być to jakiś pomysł.
Nice work by you❤, but it's a shame that Tamiya made such bad models of both 959 and 961... Unfortunately, they are so wrong that I never started building these when I bought them in the 1990s. I had the opportunity to do a direct comparison with both a real white and a red 959 and was very disappointed.😮 And in 961 there were only pictures but it wasn't good either.... So these are not something I would recommend. These were not made with 3D photography like today's models, hence the large inaccuracies

I really like this 959 as it brought me quite a lot of fun to build it. There were no issues with the assembly and everything fits perfectly. Have you seen the latest news that Tamiya is going to release a brand new kit of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS? There are rumors that it will be available this year!
I just finished this kit, it's coursed first I curdled the paint then I crushed the roof bought it again on ebay for ten bucks. my paint color choice is questionable I hate brown cars.
it sometimes happens!😁 I know exactly what you mean by coursed kit 😂 no matter how hard you try it always ends up as a disaster😀 but you can always paint something else over that brown color! 😀
but that mr hobby mahogany primer caught My eye so I did it in Mtr color mahogany. primer, color and gloss. it looks like chocolate pudding! I put some decals on it bit it will never be on display. I'm on my way to your level. I'm afraid to use the zero paint 2 part clear coat I got from Great Britain. Once I pull the pin I'll probably be ok and get those gorgeous finishes you get

I will keep your words as advice to think twice before going with brown color! 😀 I have never tried these 2k glosses but there is a lot of positive feedback about them, they have more shine and cure much faster... I use gx 112, lay it down with 3 or 4 layers with different thinning (1:3, 1:4, 1:5), first layer is just a light mist, next ones are heavier, then after a week or bit later I go with sanding and polishing. What still keeps me away from 2ks is that it seems to be less healthier. Although everytime I use respirator and gloves I still have some concerns 😀
@@robertmassucci1 frankly speaking I was really amazed with projects showing the quality and huuuge high gloss. At the begining I thought that it is just impossible for me to get this deep gloss...but after covering the body with the proper layers, thinning the gloss heavily, starting wet sanding from 4000 grit (I cut too much if i started from 3000), using minigrinder with wool I realized that it IS possible for everyone 😀 I am sure that you will get there very quickly! ( I am still novice :))
