I can't get over how funny the Chaparral looks with the four Joes just hanging out side-by-side on the front like a theme park ride. That, combined with the relatively oversized chassis to carry a compact missile turret makes it look like a Fisher-Price toy. Baby's first missile carrier.
That thing was around from the late 60's till some time in the 80's, I believe. Why we never got a newer vehicle is beyond me. (Though given what happened with the Sgt. York, maybe it's better that we never tried? ) They should have just updated the Vigilante (T249?) and called it a day...

4:37 - Bo's "you're a Lada at best" comment about Jim's T-72 reminded me of an episode of the Simpsons in which Homer wrecks his car, and his mechanic (Junior) is going to tow it away. Homer requests that it be fixed with "quality GM parts", and his mechanic replies "your car was built in Croatia, it's made from old Soviet tanks." I got a good chuckle out of that. Another great video, Bo!

Kelly's Heroes is the best tank movie ever made. I know this because they sell it in the Tank Museum gift shop AND it was referenced in Girls und Panzer.
As someone who had family who served on the M60A2 and A3, the 120S is something very special. I even have the manual for the both the M60A3 and 120S as well. Interesting reads
The "Panzer" tanks in "Patton" were M48s, they really didn't do all that much to hide the fact that they were, except for a quick German desert paint job, mostly because there were so many of them and they were expected back to report for duty as M48s in the active duty Spanish army. The American tanks in the film were a combination of M46/47s (with the muzzle breaks removed to make them look more "Shermanesque" and Walker Bulldogs (a light tank that was designed during the war, but didn't see action until Korea). The problem with making any sort of WW II movie with practical effects is that there simply aren't enough tanks around from that era in working order to do massed armor shots. It would be *very* cool to see what Hollywood could do using cgi to re-create armored combat at battles like Kursk today. Unfortunately, finding a good script that someone would be willing to shoot would be the main issue.
The commission for a tank to replace them M24 wasn't set out until 1946, it's more they rushed production for the Korean war but entered service too late for that war.
It's not a problem. There was built a 1:1 replica of a Tiger for a russian 2012 movie "White Tiger". Granted it was more of sheet metal box that looked like a Tiger, but it got the most important part: it looked like a Tiger. It ended up unused in the movie, because the director found it "not brutal enough" for the litirally a mythical tank from Hell, that the White Tiger was.
8:00 its called "vihta" or "vasta" depending where you are from in Finland. its made out from fresh birch branches with leaves on it. during your time on sauna you soak the vihta in the water that you throw to the stones and yes you beat each other with it.
We have a Tiger E "at home" too! The local prop rental lot has one built on a T-54 hull and uses a functional (russian) 85mm gun, so it can even fire live shells, they even have a Hetzer too (its a custom bulit chassis that uses ASU parts but it only has a "water pipe" for a gun), but their half-trucks and wheeled vehicles are original WW2 stuff! At least in "Fury" they used real WW2 tanks from collections and museums.
2:30. I was also watching the Russian film tanker and I thought they were using real panzer 4 h tanks only to look closer and see it was what looked like t 34s with the most real looking panzer 4 turrets I've ever seen.
Yet another thing I was hoping would be better in this update to compliment my 10.3 line up but oh well. Great video Bo! Also nice job on the thumbnail!
Be nice to Jim. He's a trucker. Having been a trucker for 28 years, I can promise it is not the best thing for ones mental stability nor state of mental health. Just humor him. Nod and smile a lot. Soothing noises may be helpful. If he becomes truly unhinged, try an audio book. Works for me every time.
Hey Bo, I'm up to the M109 Howitzer tank in war thunder! Fricking FINALLY!!!!! It feels like I'm CRAWLING my way through the tech tree at a snails pace for heavens sake!!!! 😒
Got to love there Frankenstein tank abomination xd what a funny episode on the adventures of bo and there gang ps. Would we pls get some Aussie tank action? Keep up the great videos bo
"Those four dudes look like they're sitting at a bar waiting for their order." "You know, you get enough of those vehicles together you can technically do the Last Supper." 😆😆😆
Sadly on the American side they were retired in all roles including training by around 2005. Still a very respectable service record. Turks love the American M60 and will never let them go lmao
"Hey look at that guy he's got a pony car but it's a V6, ayyy" I appreciate Jim for that comment but then immediately resented him for calling the T-72 the "F-150" of tanks. How dare he. xD
Does round or square pizza taste better?
Square
round for sure
Square. With thin crust.
round is nice square is nice too

Oh yeah I should've mentioned the leaves. I just thought that was agiven

This thing's aesthetic reminds me of a Leman Russ from WH40K, especially from behind and especially with that skin. Great vid as always
I'm impressed by how hard Jim stuck to the Wisconsnovia bit

In terms of German armor, it definitely doesn't help the fact so many were blown to bits, so it's hard to actually find any to begin with

An M60 takes an Abrams home, and they have unprotected engineering. 9 months later, this Tankenstein's monster is born.
Man Jim is such a gem... Or should I say, Jem....
An abrams that skipped leg day is a surprisingly accurate description of the 120s
I love it when Jim does characters!
As a fellow Wisconsinite I have to say .... "Good job Jim."
I keep forgetting Jim is from Wisconsin and that makes me happy
Jim's comedy is too good. The Wisconsnovia bit was great and he knows what buttons to push

Listening to Jim try to Russify everything from Milwaukee was one of the best things Ive heard in a while.
That was so funny when Jim said if you got enough of those vehicles together you could do the last supper!!!! Im from Texas also Bo
Tanks developing into M4 shapes is the American armor equivalent of carcinization. You call it a bastard, I call it natural selection.

Great video Bo!
It kinda reminds me of Major Rodeschild from Seek and Destroy
Abrams, but on a budget
They kitbashed two armored fighting vehicles together like a model kit. It looks oddly handsome, though.
You would think with all those upgrades they would put a better engine in it.
LMAO Jim was the star of THIS viddy 4-sho.. keep on rockin' boyz..
Well I guess I now have my attention permanently drawn to any tiger tanks in movies to see if it’s real/if the replica is completely accurate in look
