Indeed, "Traveller" it is. As it should be. I would loe to hear you comparing/ranking them via various dimensions. Cost, Favorites (for which usage) etc... rock on!
I only have the Jinhao 159 with a fine and medium nib. A great pen. The Wingsung 630 looks very interesting, will check it out. I am sure you have seen by now that a drop of ink fell out of your second pen, causing the smear. Happens to me occasionally for reasons I am yet to determine. Thanks for the video.
Yes thanks lol.... I thought it was pretty funny. The big blob of blue jumped out at me the first time I looked at the footage, but totally missed it at the time.
I think the video deserves a second chance, the camera focus is just bad on this. Try focus lock on the next one. We are missing the whole point here. Very nice idea though to do this comparison. Thank you!
I hear you, and considered redoing it last night for that reason. Surprised you're the first to call me out on it tbh! I'm planning on setting up a second camera for macro nib shots, so the main one can stay locked, but spare time is tight, so for now I'm going to just be more diligent. Did you watch the "not size 8 nibs" video I recorded yesterday? Still not perfect, but I think it's an improvement?
@@WondersUnlocked Hi! Yes, I just saw it, definitely better in terms of camera focusing. I fully understand that such fountain pen related reviews are not easy to produce for a hobbyist and I encourage you to go further, you have a very interesting fountain pen collection which some of them I have and some were on my wish list. I would just add in the video an ink swatch section to get a hint of the ink color. Thank you and I'll keep an eye on your reviews. :)
Great list! Thanks! A piece of advice, if I may: fountain pens are not to be treated like ballpoints. Any movement you make with them should be slow, measured, and calm. That's the entire point (forgive the pun) of using a fountain pen; to return to a time when life was slower and more enjoyable in a form of 'meditation' and 'mindfulness'. With respect, you were the primary cause of all the 'leaks' in your pens by flicking them around like they're 99-cent disposable Bics (lol). If you rewind to 2:43 (when you were using the Jinhao X159), you can see the sudden movement you make as you turn the pen, and, of course, the resulting ink splotch. This is particularly true of #8 nibs (bigger feed = more ink, and more ink = more sensitive to sudden movements), less so for #6's and almost unheard of in #5's. When I took up fountain pens, I had terrible anxiety and was treating my pens in a similar fashion. I found that having a cup of *decaffeinated* orange pekoe tea while I wrote helped me to slow down (black tea contains L-Theanine which relaxes without tiring). Just a few thoughts. Cheers and thanks again! P.S. If you like Diamine Arctic Blast, you'd probably love Pilot Iroshizuku Asa-Gao. About the same colour, but nicer shading.
Life's too short for that, mate. Go big. Would you rather watch a valium gobbler write with zen music, or a cocainoman like zelinsky with a fountain pen?

Hello, what’s the technical name of the pen holder, (the red panda one) I can’t find them as pen holders on google?
"Pen Holder" in AliExpress works: a.aliexpress.com/_msElVjE
