Thanks to all the people and sponsors making this possible! Great live coverage and nice edit of the highlights!
This video does not show that 11th Hour and Guyot had to restart for being over the line too soon.
Totally agree, kind of a big thing to miss out 🤷
@@BellHarrington It was quite clear that they have been crossing the line too early.
Were they, I didn't see or hear an individual recall from the RC?
Yes, both had to restart.
All the communication or broadcast is rushed and not as professional as other Ocean Race (Volvo) in the past… the daily update is awful… 😞
Will watch the race with devotion and excitement and wishing each crew member a safe experience. The nail biting for this armchair sailor begins again!! 😊❤❤❤
“Both of those teams had to return to the start line after a tricky start” !!!!!!!! Thanks for telling us. Kind of a big moment to get left on the cutting room floor no??🤨🤨🧐
exactly, we had to wait 17 minutes till the end of the video to be told and no explation
Good luck to all teams in this leg
"very confused"
At the start of the race you keep on talking about how close its was and how good 11th hour racing did and then 30 seconds later in the video they are back in 5th with no explanation at all. This is a huge moment to cut out.
Had to restart due to crossing the start before the gun
eu pude presenciar esse evento incrivel, so faltou uma equipe brasileira # go11th
Sweet!
Bons ventos guerreiros
This is vastly different to the Whitbread of old where it was as almost a free for all where all sorts of boats entered, I remember as a small boy watching the fleet sail out of Auckland New Zealand.
This edit really challenges my belief in the validity of the commentary - how on earth could you ignore that start line drama with two boats over the line before the gun and having to restart? 15 mins of talking and not a mention of the biggest start drama of the whole event so far!
There was obviously recall for OTL why isn't that in highlights ??
Just why do sailing fans have to put up with windspeeds in 'kph'??? The excuse of attracting new fans doesn't work for me. In tennis they say 15-love NOT 15_ZERO... It's the same in the AC... Pleeeeeeeze, use nautical terms!
Two key moments in that start missing completely from that edit. 1. - why 11H fell from 1st over the line to last at mark 1 and, 2. The PRB overtake of Malizia. Any chance these can be added to the next ocean race show?
Yeah, what on earth happened? A very disjointed edit that spoiled the start.
On the splash screens before the starts, Why do they use kph for wind speed? Everyone else and everywhere else it's knots ..
Match racing for second in the first few of a 5000 miles race. I don't think so, they know better.
Wth? 11th Hour first out of the gate and the next we see is 11th Hour in 5th?
Had to restart, they went too early
@@Quintendejong123 Thanks, foolish mistake trying to get a few seconds on the start
The designers have got these craft right although I would have put a bit more nose lift in them. The America's cup design team have got the cats designs so wrong, dangerous, in fact. I would like to know why the foils are placed so far aft ? I assume that the foils are at the hull balance point but I'd put them farther towards the bow to prevent nose diving....
I do believe I have heard the skipper call their boat BIOTHERM (B eye o therm) not Bi O TERM
Yes, I thought that too, the announcer needs to learn how to announce words methinks.
Editing a real mess on this chapter.
old leather face in booth.Biotherm needs better crew!
Biotherm have an excellent crew! And that was also visible in their early lead.
