I absolutely adore how the glass pen doesn’t drip when you take it out of the liquid after dipping… it’s like there’s always the perfect amount of ink on it!😍
I've one myself and I have to say it's actually really easy to not get too much ink in it, the bigger problem is to get the right amount into it so that you've no too thick or too thin lines tbh
@@rikiyatomioka7490 the pen is specifically made for that. All the swirly, twist part on the tip is intended for the ink not to drip. And a little ink goes a long way, so I’m positive she only dipped the pen in the ink once.
The fact that they drew it in ink because they have confidence that they aren't gonna mess up...just impressed the heck outta me they are an art God 👌😤
Oh no, we mess up all the time - artists are just good at recovering from their mistakes and making it an integral part of the project. Virtually all works that have ever been made have some flaw in the artist's eyes, and they might not particularly find a masterpiece they made to be particularly good, because once you start making great art, there is always something you have done before that is better in some way than the current piece you just finished, so art in the moment is often an exercise in disappointment and eternal progress through more and more pieces, to push your abilities higher and higher, beyond what anyone could imagine in due time.

When you defuse the ink with that brush, it doesn’t immediately make sense. But after a few highlights and outlines, the whole image really comes together. I give you my best prayers.
i have a lot of mental and sensory issues, (ie. autism, anxiety, depression, ocd, tourette’s, etc.), and whenever i get scared or overwhelmed or just can’t sleep, i watch your videos with my noise-cancelling headphones, and it’s like i’m in another world. your drawings are my safe haven in a crazy world that is hard for me to navigate. i hope you know how much good you are doing, and how much joy you are bringing to people all over the world. watching you draw puts my mind at ease, and makes me think that everything is going to be okay. i am truly so grateful.
Hey, Charlie.... I have very bad anxiety attacks, and suffer from depression. My art ability takes me through very many mediums, such as chalks, oil pastels, wood working... such as wood burning, clock works and so many other mediums. I was looking up glass pens and ran across this video. I am so mesmerized about the whole idea of this "device", that when I am done replying to you ,I am going to see about purchasing a couple of pens and some ink, and just let my mind and spirit run wild!!!! I’m an art student. I enjoy art but lately I’ve been having a hard time having fun with it. Watching this reminded me of how I used to do my art. I used to find joy in art during the messy, uncertain, trust the process stages. I no longer do, because I’ve grown into a perfectionist. Studying oil painting does not lend itself to messy paintings usually. Or atleast not the style in which I find the most beautiful. I think that’s my issue. I haven’t touched a canvas in months because I can’t handle the pressure of my art looking bad when it’s in the process. I need to break that. This video reminded me that art can look messy and make me nervous at first, but once it’s complete it all can look deliberate & beautiful. Thank you!

I've not seen this technique before and it was mesmerizing and relaxing to watch. And the outcome was so beautiful. I enjoyed your striking techniques and was encouraged by the brush work to mix colours! For me, this ethereal painting reminds me of just one thing -- Pisces. The colors, the crystal water vibe to it, the fish being cradled gently, the coolness of the woman. So pretty.

And I like the fact that you can use the same pen without having other previous colours mixed into it after washing it.
yeah that blows me away, so much drawing with one dip, doesnt dribble anywhere, and makes clear bold lines. seems like it shouldnt be possible lol

They probably messed up about 100 times; you just can't tell because they're really good.

well artists usually sketch to have atleast a rough idea on what theyre going to illustrate

I've never seen anyone using ink as watercolor . It blows my mind .

I've not seen this technique before and it was mesmerizing and relaxing to watch. And the outcome was so beautiful. I enjoyed your striking techniques and was encouraged by the brush work to mix colours! I've never done anything like this and will put it on my list of possibilities as I'm still learning and doing things with watercolours and markers. Subscribed!
For me, this ethereal painting reminds me of just one thing -- Pisces. The colors, the crystal water vibe to it, the fish being cradled gently, the coolness of the woman. So pretty.
