♥️ How I Sewed My Summer Maxi Dress with a Twist ♥️
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 тра 2020
- Hi Folks, in this weeks video I show how I sewed up my summer maxi dress with twist detail. I couldn’t be happier with how this has turned out, its super casual and comfortable. There’s a little bit of extra work required matching the stripes but for me totally worth it👍👍👍 love, love, love this one ♥️♥️♥️. For those of you interested in pattering I’ve uploaded 2 videos on how I patterned twist variants, see links below 👍 I hope you enjoy and find the video useful. Susanne💕
Heres a tip for those of you thinking of sewing something similar, sew the neck binding before sewing up the centre front seam, it will make construction so much easier👍👍👍

I have watched you sew over the years and all your makes are beautiful. Excellent teacher
Can't wait to see the making of the bodice pattern for this one! I have the perfect fabric for it!
Your pattern matching is definitely on point but the strategic arrangement of the chevron and the dark blue color placement is just sublime. 😍😍
What a beautiful result. That twist detail has fascinated me for ages! Now I know! Thanks for another top quality lesson.
Beautiful as always! Would you mind showing the pattern for this and for that kimono top with ties from a few weeks ago?
I really look forward to your videos and view each multiple times
As always I look forward to your feed. Always a lovely make and techniques. Thank you Suzanne!
Pattern fabrics are hellish. And matching them is no joke. You’ve done all the hard work off camera and made it look so very easy. The end product is just beautiful. Thank you!
Nice work Ma'am. Really looking forward to the pattern drafting.
Beautiful. You gave me an idea for my next proyect, thank you for this video.
I love your method of the tutorial. Not gabby just very good instructions. I’ve just gotten back into sewing after years away to raise children and make a living. Now that I have more time on my hands I love learning and making new garments. My lifestyle is a lot more casual and would something on hooded sweatshirts with a zipper. Do you have any tutorials on that . Also a suggestion on a pattern.
Love all your makes. Your makes are sewn and fitted perfectly. You look beautiful as always. Prym makes a product that is called a mending needle. It is a fine latch hook that goes between the overlocking stitches to help burry the threads. It is a very helpful product.
I am inspired by your design and sewing. You've just completed another perfectly beautiful dress that inspired me to go shopping for fabric with bold stripes. Thank you!
So beautiful this dress, congratulations! Thank you
Beautifully done Project! Looks wonderful on you too!
Absolutely lovely Susan! Love the twisted tie and the chevron! You look wonderful in it! Bravo! It must be so comfortable! Have a nice day! Christine 😁🇨🇦😁

I haven’t finished watching he video & already I love 💕 the way this outfit is looking 👍🏾💯. Pretty awesome 👏🏾
Honestly, how do you keep outdoing yourself? 😁 That twisty business bows my mind, and the effect with stripes is amazing! It flows absolutely perfectly with the chevrons of the skirt! I love when V-necks aren't super deep. I love how you finished the sleeves! This dress is perfection!

Wow what precise sewing ! 💕 snd u look amazing in this dress 👗 thank you for sharing . I always wondered how to match the lines to obtain the chevron effect . I guess you really need to buy extra fabric to match ...how would u calculate this eg if I had to sew a top with sleeves ? I will watch yr videos slowly with a cup of coffee in the evenings , yippy !
Impecable!👌❤ eres una maestra 🦋
Wel done and very cute
Beautiful 😍🥰
Congrats you did a very good with this dress
Love, love, love this tutorial. I would love to see how you drafted the pattern. The way you matched up the chevron design was flawless. It's remarkable that you taught yourself to sew by watching UA-cam videos for the most part. I'm trying to teach myself but I keep falling short. I'm going to keep trying and watching videos like this because it gives me hope. You make it look so simple. Thank you for the videos because you definitely give hope to those of us who are struggling.
Gorgeous

I love it so much as always. I have the same fabric with other colors. Please can you do the making of the pattern of This dress. Thanks a lot
Nice work as usual. However, would you be kind enough to.show us how you initiated the first Chevron piece before aligning it to match the opposite side. Did you learn to sew before? Your finishes are spot on. Thanks a million.

Any tips on sewing stretch fabric?
I would like a tip on that too. I don't have an overlock and is always struggeling to sew in stretch fabric 😂
Another fabulous make. Thank you for sharing.
Did you use a stretch or straight stitch
I love your videos. You have a meticulous approach and I appreciate the details. I too have just gotten back to sewing on my retirement. I've been working on establishing base slopers and am just at the point of making muslins to test out. Can't wait to begin actual sewing. Would love to see your patterning on the bodice. Thank you
