Unify is really complicated but I play a little everyday and it gets less mysterious and frustrating.
Part of it is understanding what Unify actually is and learning how it can fit with an existing workflow and how an existing workflow needs to be adapted is a bit to get my head around :)
    Making progress though.

Agree :) I hope one day the interface will change to look and feel more simple :)

Have you considered having a value box for CC controls so you know exactly where a change kicks in and you could assign that number to automation? Also, how about some assignable on/off buttons as an alternative to spinning a knob?

Yes, on/off buttons is what is missing here... much easier to control changes in a groove during a live performance with buttons (just like Halion has).

I’m loving the integration w Maschine Jam! Would you still recommend that controller device for this?

John: Most of my questions about how do do this and use it with midi files were addressed. Can you tell us, or direct us to somewhere else in the many videos that shows how you set up the control knob assignment to move between the patterns in the midi file. I created a midi file and loaded it in midi box, and got it to work, but like you, I used the Beast Kit midi box since it had the assignment already setup. I'm not seeing by trying to take it apart. Thanks.

Is there some reference to the drum kit sample map you use so we could use your drum kit midi files with, say, Kontakt or Battery? I think you said it was different then Standard Midi.

John mentioned to follow the Korg drum mapping.
For the Korg Triton Rack you’ll find the drum kit mappings from page 25 on in the following manual:

Hello John.Do you have plans to work close with Stephen Kay and add some KARMA-ish ideas to UNIFY?

Feature request: The Groove Monkee introduction is an excellent link. When using Unify in Standalone mode, would it be possible to have the Speed dial show BPM please? That would be a very useful asset when auditioning files, or for using in a live scenario when not using a DAW (unless this is already implemented and I just can't see it).

Oxford Blue - tempo is found on the transport page. Click the play icon (bottom center/Left) - that is the current tempo & all transport information can be saved with a patch by clicking Save and then clicking the checkbox “Save BPM Data” before saving.

IMPORTED TO KNOW FOR UNIFY vst users and KONTAKT 6 NI ! Cubase 10 and 10.5 ( MAC version)
Cubase 10 does not recognise KONTAKT 6 as it was working in Cubase 9.5
it does not even appears in Cubase 10 as a Black listed vst on Mac but as i do activate UNIFY!!!!
it does see vst Kontakt 6 ( new name kontakt with no nr as vst ) so UNIFY can function as a bridge to use KONTAKT 6!!!!!!!
    in Cubase 10
    SO UNIFY RULES THEM ALL!!!!!!

Email us at unifysupport@pluginguru.com with details of what plug-ins crash. We are still working thru compatibility with a small # of companies that do things differently.

I don't get it... You have the timeline up which indicates that you're gonna cover "MIDIbox from the VERY beginning.... You mention it a few times, but It doesn't seem like you ever really discuss it. I believe that as passionate as you are about this, that you may get too distracted by all of the things going on in this project which you are so close to, preventing you from focusing well enough to clearly break things down to instruct the masses.
I am not stating this to be judgemental or be a jerk... you seem like an awesome person. However, that assessment is based on perception with no experience with you personally. What I DO have YEARS of experience in, is training concepts to strangers. And, from that perspective, I believe that you may want to consider having someone else create a separate playlist of tutorials which explain these matters, because I have NO CLUE what MIDIbox is, whether it is an added charge, whether it is even needed to operate Unify. I Flat. Out. Do. NOT. Know.
