- This is a quick guide on how to tame a Giant Bee on Ark Survival Ascended official PVP servers for your very own Bee hive that produces honey.

Use bug repellent and it makes it easier to feed rare flowers without aggrevating the drones :)
I Did that on another one but taming was pretty much the same & they still agroed. But that is a good tip
yes they still agroed. i think taming Bee is a bit bugged right now. it took me 4 hives until i hot a Bee that was tameable. and there is no different if you have the bug spray or not.

@@solosurvival4573ya they can still Argo with bug repellent. Every insect can. I believe if u do something to agro them or get too close n feeding a queen could cause agro. Remember if u Argo something bug repellent doesn't help anymore. Duh

one thing you metnion that a lot of others dont is feeding it in third person versus 1st
Hardest part of taming a bee is finding one and destroying its nest ;) after that if you have kibble then its just 1 tap tame
I have spent way to many c4's I could've raided so many bases... but no matter 3rd person or first person it's not eating flowers, its bugged if ill find solution ill make video!
Whats funny is i was going to look up how to tame a bee when i was ready and then it popped up in my recommendeds instead lol
its easier if you wait till it has no drones then will give you option to feed

Great tip on going into 3rd person to tame.
the bug seems to do with the characters height and where the first person camera is, hope its fixed
@@justinhorror1765 i tried yesterday, still bugged. i dint know that 3rd person works, so it took me 4 hives until i got a Bee i was able to tame
This has got to be the most expensive way to get a bee. Much easier just to shoot it with arrows to damage the hive. Use ghillie and bug repellent.
True but that would take longer easier to just use c4.
bug repellent doesn't work
C4 is pretty cheap to make lol
just press E on it, pike that hive, also possible, with ghillie and lag ez tame, if not bring med brews

I found a couple just out and about without me even breaking a hive quite startling...
Well that was a bit difficult!! In survival evolved was possible to leave her at rendar distance and then come back running and feeding and do again until she is tamed, don’t know if still works but u can try
Render distance is bananas cream pudding in this game, things render in pretty far away
Bee's actually seem harder in asa and that's just from this one video I am judging. I found bee's super easy to tame in ase. I would sell them for 500 poly while everyone else charged 2k. Cause people over charged for those on PvE official. If u have stuff to get bee's super easy. If not a slight pain but still a easy n quick tame.

We used bears in taming bees.
Did you use the dupe method with the bees too ?
I think they fixed that, but we just tamed a lot it doesn't take long.

There are easier places on the island then flying to the redwoods to tame a bee, because on an official server pvp or over there are wild Dino’s there which I noticed you had none. lol

its not lke we transfer some food to bee inventory right?
You put the food in your last hot bar slot and run up and press E If you have default key bindings.

my last hot bar, let say its "0", so i need to put flower to "0" then press E when i come near bee?
@@gitowijaya4782 yes you need to place the flowers or kibble in the 0 slot but press the E key to feed if you press 0 you will consume it not the bee

Does building a box around the hive still work?
I haven't tried. Its pretty easy to just run around after them with the new tame tracking.

Im sorry, but this technique is poor. I checked this video out to see if the locations or hives changed with ASA or if any new clever techniques have been figured out (seems not). For those who want a more certain method of taming giant bees i recommend searching giant bee traps (which you set up before breaking the hive) or taming a low level direbear first by stealing some honey from the hive prior to attempting to tame the bee. Once you have the bear, you can trap the hive and feed rare flowers and run back to mount the bear which makes you immune to the drone bee effect while you wait for the next flower feeding (no chasing the bee around where you will certainly die on foot from terror birds, troodons and other redwood menaces).

Ive never played any other ark besides Ascended on my PC so I found this video useful plus many of the comments. Gave me an idea of what taming a bee and getting honey was about. I am sure there are lots of new players to this game........
