Even worse is the Canadian government to allow salmon farming at all. Whilst the river will recover eventually and the wild salmon, whilst off the coast farming is allowed to continue it will put wild fish at far greater risk than one natural blockage.
The Chilcotin river doesn’t flow out of Chilko lake the Chilko river does the two rivers (Chilko and Chilcotin) meet down stream of the blockage before they enter the Fraser river. Nice “expert” you guys found… 🙄
