***** I wasn't alive in the '80s, either, but, I still got to enjoy my NES throughout my teenage years, and even today. It was a great night the first time I beat Super Mario Bros. 3.
Maybe the classicalest soundtrack ever! All the world knows this music, and you can't help but enjoy it. I never knew that the initial sound of the hurry versions was part of them. I thought that was a separate track. I like stereo for Overworld Theme. My favorites are Overworld, Underground and Castle Themes, and Game Over.
I always love how Italian Mario's theme song turns Jamaican at :50 seconds ...It's incredible.. Gives you that beach island effect lol I can def sip pina coladas to that [art of the song over and over again!
I used to live in a duplex as a kid, and the kid who had his bedroom upstairs from mine would ALWAYS have this theme going. Annoyed the hell out of me even when I was 7.
Wow, I never realized that I never heard the "hurry up!" version of the starman theme until today... and I laughed my ass off at how crazy fast it was :-p
Haim Saban and Shuki Levy redid the overworld music for DiC Entertainment’s The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! (1989) and also in Illumination Entertainment’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023).
I can still beat this in one guy, going warp zones. I haven't tried going all the way through. Though, when my brother and I were little (mind you, we were LITTLE), we used to call the 7-4 firebar 'the big old honkin thing'.
Nintendo is developing now Mario Maker for the Wii U. A Super Mario Bros level editor with the original NES Super Mario Bros and the New Super Mario Bros version in it. In Mario Maker you can build your own levels so much as you like. How terrific is that eh? Mario Maker appears in 2015 for the Wii U. By the way! This is the game which started the whole Nintendo and Mario franchise! Nostalgia lovers, pick up your old NES and play this game again! Actually, this game has been played for millions of times! The old NES cartridge must been worn out!
Then you must dislike video game music in general, because this is easily the most famous and recognizable game soundtrack of all time. And it's far more than "just beep boop." It consists of simple but varied melodies that fit the situations that they're written for: a happy, energetic tune for the Overworld, a low-key, sneaky tune for the Underground, a majestic waltz for the Underwater, and a spooky dirge for the Castle. Besides, that's a poor excuse to "dislike this ost," as every NES soundtrack consists of beeps and boops to an extent. It's just a matter of how creatively the composer uses them. Composers like Koji Kondo here were able to create actual themes and melodies with different styles which set the right tones. If you "dislike this ost," then your ability to judge video game music is null and void.
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 no duh i just happened to prefer follin brother and some of other people's music more, nice try though but i don't hate vgm. i just think this ost in particular is not that good compared to some others
I absolutely HATE Koji Kondo's music. Koji Kondo's music is some of the most generic trash that I have ever heard and yet his music is considered some of the best. Meanwhile, composers like Stello Doussis and Jeroen Tel have created some of the best video game music of all time and they're just left to the side in favor of these horrible strings of beeps and boops that is considered "music." The castle theme especially is extremely annoying and It's probably the worst song in this entire soundtrack. I don't even consider it music. It's just awful.

Got the original NES for Xmas '87. This game came with it. To be a kid in the 80's was the best! Ahh, the memories.
Me too except I got mine in 1986.

Thank you mario ;D but link to download are in diffrent castle
DO THE MARIO
So when is this one getting a revamp?
I never noticed before, teh pixel art on the cover looks nothing like what's in the game.. someone DELIBERATELY made that.
You've never fallen into lava in the Castle while shooting a fireball?? 😁
I mean like those aren't the in-game graphics, they were mocked up by hand in the style of the game..
@@KairuHakubi Would've been the lamest thing ever to just use a screenshot as the box art cover
@@black_caty No, it wouldn't. It would just let you know exactly you'd be getting. They did that with Journey to Silius, and that's a nice cover.
@@black_caty I mean sure but that's why you typically do... a _drawing._ Not a mockup of pixel art in a totally different resolution.
