The tree looks awesome, makes me think of the white tree of Gondor.
Thank you for the compliment! I didn't make that connection until you just said it. Now it is all I can see! That is a good thing. I love LOTR. Thanks for watching!
I thought that too
Glad I'm first. Simon from TIFO was right - you're awesome. Nowhere near enough recognition...yet...
Simon is a legend! Thank you for coming over and giving my channel a chance. Plenty more to come!
@@SkillTree as funny as it is, I also found your channel because of Simon. But I almost never watch the channel where he promoted you... I just accidentally clicked that video :D
So cool
Thanks for watching!
Will you ever do some kind of knife? (Starting maybe from a steel bar [at least for me, a bushcraft -if you know what it is - one would be super cool])
Thats a great looking bag that silver dye pops in the best way
It DOES. I got it on a whim and I love the stuff. Going to get the gold version too. Thank you for watching!
Super cool👍
Thank you!
You should make a map / scroll case
Love this idea! Added to the list!
Everytime I watch one if your videos I'm astounded by your creativity and work. You videos style is amazing and your explanations are easy to understand. Amazing channel hope to like and support it for many years to come
Thanks for the love and support! It really means a lot. Plenty of more to come to my friend! Stay tuned!
you might already know this tip but I've learned you can use a metal quill nib in place of a brush for super detailed dying. it takes a little longer but is much more controlled
Hey so a quick easy hack to protect your tooling patterns for reuse, try neatly covering the pattern with packing tape on both sides. That war you won’t need to reprint them or cover the work piece wig plastic wrap. Just wet the leather and plop down he pattern. Then just dry the pattern and store it.
Awesome job man!
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Great looking bag 👍 😊
New colors! Yay! 😁
just make one to test it and so great, thanks for the video.
That tree is freaking awesome man, well done!!!
Nice!
Nice! This will work great for my cod piece.
absolutely love your channel, and your enthusiasm(especially) ))
Thank you for your support. I love making these : )
This looks easy enough for enough me to do 😀
Epic dice bag! I will be making one of these for a friend of mine who loves D&D and loves dice! While my preference would be the tree, for her, I will put an image of a polyhedral dice sword. Thanks for your continued amazing videos!
Great work! Subscribed, with thanks.
Glad you liked it! Thank you for the sub!
Great and simple design. 👊 well done!
Thank you, my youtube brother!
The silver looks really good
especially with the black to contrast against
I bet this would work with fabric too! I think I might try this! The 3 inch strap would just need some interfacing! 🥳
Great video as always. Loved the tree. With the knotwork it looks like Yggdrasill.
Lol and it's not one of my comments without a nitpick, I'm fairly sure the chrome tan were the sides, and the vegtan was the gusset. ;)
I underestimated how large the bag was XD just made it for a friends important bday and her dice
👍👍👍👍👍
looks good but should have done black first then the silver
Nice work Dude, You should have a lot more subs. We need a campaign to get the word out. This channel is my favorite. Do you have the media outlets like facebook or anything?
I made my dice bag out of jump rings bought at any Michaels or hobby lobby a full on chainmail dice bag honestly was fun to make
Sounds like a blast. Cool project!
@@SkillTree it is a very cool project IV used my dice bag for over 15 years now
The gusset is the veg tan strip not the chrome tan sides. Just an FYI
love your vids mate but i think the old way you film them is better with you in frame keep leveling up
any chance patrons can get this tree as an art pack
Mr Cl3ver,
You might have tumbled or milled veg tan leather? I have some milled veg tan from tandy. I think its 1.5-3.5oz and looks very similar. I suspect it could be the same cause I don't think chrome tan is supposed to take dye like that. Regardless super cool project, im behind on my skill tree project to-do list but I'll hopefully catch up!
You think so? It was given as a gift and I just assumed it was chrome tanned. I have never seen tumpled veg tanned. I will look into it and post a correction if needed! Thanks for the heads up and for watching! 😁👍
if you haven't got the tools for the design part, what would be the easiest way to add a design onto finished leather? Have a journal that I want to add a design to for my DnD character, but don't know how to. Don't want to have the raised portions similar to the tree, just want the design to be sort of embossed.
Looks great! The design looks familiar ;) Where did you get your chrome tan leather and which specific one did you get? Can you provide a link?
I wish I could! It was actually given to me as a gift From CWbuilds when I did the lightsaber collaboration with him. I can ask him and see where he got it, though. If I had to venture a guess, I would say it's 4oz chrome-tanned, top-grain.
@@SkillTree Thanks! Definitely let me know if you find out! I appreciate the reply!
