I found this video and was able to follow along and take my drone apart and order the replacement parts. Thank you SO MUCH. if anyone else is reading this and has the same broken arm HAVE. NO. FEAR. IT IS FIXABLE!!! I found the parts on Amazon..little priceier than Ali but comes in two days. I used an iFixit pro toolkit with the metal spudger. one not - BE CAREFUL when removing the top shell. the GPS unit is right inside and has a fragile ribbon cable. THANKS AGAIN!

Read before disassembling! Nobody mentioned that you need to buy new rubber bands to reassemble the gimbal. My rubber bands have trimmed tails that allow them to be installed during gimbal assembly. As a result, I was waiting for the delivery of the broken part, replaced it, and now to put it back together, I need to order rubber bands again, on which the gimbal attaches to the body, and wait for delivery again. Make sure these rubber bands have not been trimmed, or order them right away, or disassemble without removing the rubber bands from the body.
Hello. I have a crack in my arm, and the left motor (where the cable does not pass) is stuck, 1D010002 error. It does not rotate 360 degrees, only 50, I think something is blocking it. Additionally, one of the 3 posts that the motor has for the elastic plastic shock absorber broke. I would assume so. Calibrating the gimbal is not that hard... and honestly it should be calibrated every once in a while anyway, unless you have some reason to not want to.
I hit the gimbal in my DJI mini 3 and it tells me error code 10001, downward vision sensor error. I'm not really sure what that would be to fix. Do you have insights about what I'd be looking for if I took it apart.
The point where the camera clips onto the motherboard gets very hot. As much as my finger can't stand it. I guess it's not normal. And the gimbal sometimes makes a grinding noise in some places. There are explanations for all this.?

Hey, Great tutorial, very helpful. My mini 3 makes a rattling noise when I shake the camera, any idea what could be causing that? I don't get any errors and everything still works so I'm reluctant to open the camera since I don't have any of the thermal compound and the connector looks super fragile. Thanks

I did all this and now I'm getting a Gimbal imu data error 40021, so it's not as easy as it seems also the video doesn't mention you need to buy new rubber support because the factory ones can't be put back.
This video is bogus and misleading. @2:07 the video is cut when the camera gimbal cable is being pulled through. Then the next frame shows the cable on the outside and it does not show how the cable was pulled out. Secondly if anyone is tempeted to replace their gimbal, I would recommend that you also replace the rubber dampener because it may get ripped while removing it.

you should teardown your gimbal and clean it. if it not work, replace the gimbal. gimbal stuck and overload it mean the gimbal motor is not working properly.

I ended up breaking the gimbal rubber, it is difficult to take it off and f** hard to put it back... and now I have to wait this new piece be delivered.. Btw, I bought this same part to repair, "Gimbal Roll Arm Lower", and it is much heavier than the original one. Not sure, but this can became a future problem, by forcing the gimbal system.
I just had a collision and had this accident happen and yeah for $419 just buy a new one save yourself the headache in fact I think I'm just going to upgrade to the mini pro 4
I noticed that the weight is different and it is influencing the stabilization of the gimbal when I take panoramic photos. The images no longer reassemble perfectly, now there is a slight misalignment in the photo mosaic. In Sphere mode this is even more noticeable

I get the imu 40021 error, but I do a calibration and the error disappears. But still doesn't work. It's the original gimbal, cable and camera. Everything was working fine.

I crashed my drone while doing a roof inspection and now there is a hum in the gimbal. When I got home I noticed a small crack forming on back of the gimbal arm. I'm going to do the swap tuesday and hope that the hum goes away. Other than that the gimbal still works fine.
@@djiSolutions the reason I am doing it is because there is a hum in the gimbal And a crack in the housing that goes about a quarter of the way around. Much rather be safe.

Down sensor hardly problem. Try to clear the Len of the sensor

First to replace is the gimbal cable because it is the cheapest then if it not working, you can change the gimbal

If you replace just that part, it no error. But if you replace any motor, it will have error 40011
