if u have any selfrespect u let them have opener its just how it is. they could wait like 1 min and than randomly open on you to get it, thats just dumb so u give em the opener.

Fine, maybe they're not bad, but they made a mistake. Xar forgot his mana gem in the second match. He doesn't get to say "oops I forgot my mana ruby, doesn't count." Mistakes are mistakes. If you get caught out of stealth, that's your mistake, you take the L and you pay up.

As a rogue, no one has ever just stood there and let me get opener. You won that first duel.
This used to be standard on my server back in the day, just like the no pot rule. You'd let stealthies get the opener always, I was surprised the chat blew up like it did honestly.

Frost mages are balanced around getting frost bolts off the stealthie should open then allow the mage to hit him with frost bolt so he can kite

You can also OOM the druid by using a R1 frostbolt to get them to shapeshift the slow off and then use a max rank frostbolt when safe to do so I do that on Turtle WoW
Back in the day our guildies who knew each other would loan one another gold to afford epic riding. It let you save time/ farm faster and you could pay them back in a week or two.
Watched this live yesterday, still watched the whole video. Definitely the most fun way to watch you farm for epic mount. I wonder how the duels would have looked if you did them AFTER getting like 4 upgrades yesterday :D
I like vanilla pvp cause as a viewer you can easily follow along with what skills are being used, etc. Retail you have no idea whos doing what, its like a lightshow or fireworks or something.

@@arthas236 its kinda weird. but.... for people who duel a ton.... its common to give stealth openers. To us normies it may not make sense. But once you do 100s of duels you start to realize you saving time by just letting stealthers have openers

Man, this brings back so many memories of standing outside Ironforge dueling waiting for dungeons or raids. I remember clutching out a win against another paladin wearing almost full set Judgement and Hammer of Woe. I had mostly PVP blues and Icebarbed Spear. It was all in good fun though. Good times.

Poor Xar didn’t play Classic PvP in quite some time. He threw at least 2 games he could’ve maybe even should’ve won. But the first duell against the feral is 100% a win. It sucks ass if you can’t open as stealther or can’t charge as Warrior but that’s on you. You need the skill to secure your opener. And the last duell against the mage was rough. Unlucky to get that scorch and fireblast crit for half of Xars HP. If we would’ve spammed arcane explosion there he might have won that.
As a rogue main, I want to deserve my opener. This my my preference

Played Vanilla back in the day raided AQ40 and Naxx and never heard of giving stealth players free hit as "fair". Fair is allowing them to stealth and relocate so you don't know where they are. If you're so predictable you get AOE'd out of stealth that's your problem
