Ament is the class of 2025 version of Brandon Miller or Jabari Smith. Would be a perfect fit for UK's system.
I'm conflicted. As much as I'd like to have a bunch of these 5 stars that we're in on, I'm worried about having too many freshman that expect to play right away.
I dont think Pope is going to sign 6-7 freshmen like Cal. It will be 3-4 most years, and this year maybe 4-5. Also, Pope is only really recruiting highly skilled players. You're not seeing him going after 5 stars that cant shoot/dribble/pass. Cal loved signing the physical freaks with the 7 foot wingspans & 40 in verts but can't even make a layup with their off hand. Kahlil Whitney anyone?
Yeah I agree with that I would like to see him build a team with a couple of the 5 stars and then good role players that will stay around 3 or 4 years kinda like Pitino did. That seemed to work pretty well then but I guess he is trying to get the best. We have seen the last few years hard to win with a whole team of one year guys.
