People people people...get your facts correct. Seton is located on William St in Pittston PA. I went to school there for four years and was at this show which our school won.
This song always reminds me of the reo speedwagon hit can,t fight this feeling Especially the vocal melody. It,s a nice ballad. But my favorite tracks are the two great aor rockers give love another try and the dakota penned don,t stop believin. This record will appeal to journey fans. But it,s much sought after and gettin very rare. I,m glad to have it in my vinyl collection.
Two reasons I love this. First, this is the only evidence of the live tour Synch went on with Jimmy Harnen after the successful re-release of this song. Second, this was done at Seton High School, an all-girls high school in Cincinnati next door to the all-boys Elder High School. These two schools educated almost all of my friends on the Westside in recent history. This song brings together my life and my love of music so perfectly!
Jimmy Harnen, the singer and songwriter of this song, is from West Pittston, PA and this was performed at Seton Catholic in PITTSTON, PENNSYLVANIA. I went to school there and assure you it was NOT an all girl school, it was co-ed.
Sorry Derrick B, I must agree with Missy K. Seton won a contest sponsored by KRZ 98 1/2 FM. I also ran the stage mixer for the band at this show! I still see the drummer Rich Kossuth every now and then.
this school was in Scranton PA. these kids wrote to the radio station who ever school in area won the free concert and it Seaton high school in Scranton PA
Seton Catholic High School was on William Street, in Pittston, PA. Not Scranton, that is just the closest city most people have heard, mostly from the TV show, The Office. The writer of this song, and singer, Jimmy Harnen was from West Pittston, PA just across the river from Pittston. Ashamed to say I can't say where the other members of the band, Synch, hailed, and I was born and raised in the Pittston, PA area. It is nice to have flashbacks of my area, and especially at a school I attended!
Jimmy ended up a huge record executive he became the CEO of Big Machine records in 2019. It has an incredible roster of platinum selling artists He did very well for himself after recording music
Got a cleaned up vinyl rip CD-R of this plus a 320 kbps mp3 download. Don't get around to listening to it much, but it does indeed sound like a bit of a cross between REO Speedwagon and Journey, falling well short of reaching the level of either. (Not surprising, very few bands are as good as Journey, or even Kevin Cronin & Co.) Had no idea Jimmy Harnen ever fronted this band. A fun fact worth remembering in case it ever comes up in a game of Trivial Pursuit. :)
Kevin Cronin also sang back ground on one of Jimmy's songs on album can't fight the midnight I believe was album my memory isn't what it use to be so forgive any inaccuracies
lol my dad was the bass player and sang the harmonies
Knew Jimmy who sang with him probably knew your dad way back in the day
So where greta now?
