I love that you brought up the terminology of "passing" being inadequate. I feel like a more accurate term would be "in order to be perceived as," or something along those lines. But that's too wordy! Also, being only perceived as male if we have short hair, masculine clothings, mannerisms, and a deep voice does suck. Feminine cis guys exist! So if someone wants to express themselves like that, I don't think that makes them any less of a dude. But they probably won't pass if they're pre-T. =[
Yeahh, you're right society does suck...But I wasn't even transitioned very much as a male and so of course I wasn't binding cuz I didn't have a binder or anything but a few times I got mistaken as a male when I was talking to someone behind a desk and my mum would correct them and say I was female =_= Or I would open my mouth to speak and they'd correct themselves :l
This actually really put my mind at rest that one day I'll be able to stop worrying about how people see me. Thanks man.
